The monitors resolution range is only to 1280X740 or 780
and your video card may also need an upgrade.
The game may require a higher resolution that is not compatible with the the devices mentioned.

My emachine will not come on-just makes beeping sounds every few sec. is it my hard drive

When you here a beeps during turn on that is a RAM problem. So you need to check the RAM remove it first and clean the dust. Use also the other memory slot

Please pull out the memory and clean the silver coating pins with a rubber eraser to clean dust and stains that causes disconnection.

I cant play nba 2K9! when i launch the game my monitor becomes black!

It goes black because the monitor you are using does not support the resolution you are trying to force through it from the video card. Start at 1024 X 768, if the screen shows on the monitor than that is a good start. If it doesn't then I would suggest getting on the manufacturer's web site and downloading the latest drivers. I'm pretty sure you are dealing with a driver issue.

Hi,

Try to check the screen resolution and the screen refresh rate. Try to set it first to 60hz for the screen refresh rate and try to set the screen resolution to 1024 x 768.

Frequency out of range

Try to set the monitor refresh rate to Adapter Default despite of Optimal or lower rate of refresh. For this first download the manual of your monitor and check what is the highest refresh rate your monitor can suport. Then goto the display properties and set the adapter refresh rate to Adapter Default. In most cases such problem is solved. You did not mentioned the OS. This method is applicable in Windows only. Low brightness on second monitor using Radeon X1300 video adapter

According to the X1300 specifications here it does support multiple displays. The option to configure the display is found in the Catalyst application. Do you have the latest version of that? You can get it from their website.

The screen flickers into hour-glass figure.

It's the tube going out. You need to replace it. If you want to stay with CRT monitors, you should be able to pickup a used one for around $10.00 on Craigslist.

S video out

Hi,

To my thinking, your concern would largely be dependent on the Screen Resolution setting of the PC. It may be that the screen resolution be initially lowered down to the lowest possible.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

It depends on the monitor, but try holding the Menu and Right arrow button together.
