We bought a 22lb turkey but I think we only have an XL fryer. The turkey almost fits but it is still frozen. Can we cook it in the XL fryer if it fits when it thaws.

Probably yes. It will more flexible and elongated when thawed and it likely will be smaller when you pull the neck and giblets from the body cavity allowing the ribcage room to collapse.

Deep enough to fry a 12 to 14 pound turkey and wide enough to use as a seafood boiler, the Cajun Injector's Electric Turkey Fryer provides home fried cooking without the mess and hassle of stove top or outdoor methods. Equipped with a 30Qt. aluminum bailing-basket, you can submerge and fry a whole turkey or any other foods you'd like to cook fully covered. When the food is finished cooking, simply lift the basket up with the hanger hook, and allow it to drain over the pan with the adjustable quick drain system. A swing-out drain valve to empties the used oil when its time for clean up and a built-in digital control with a thermostat and timer ensures that the food cooks exactly as you intended. How to do cheat

Not sure exactly what you're asking due to a type-O. But, I going to assume your meant "How to do heat".

Admittedly, this is not the easiest electric turkey fryer to start out with, but it does do the job pretty well.

To start heating the oil and setting the cooking temperature, you must do the following.

Press "ON"; then "Temp Heat"; then press the up arrow until it reaches 400 degrees (for frying a turkey). You may have to push a button more than once, because I think the first push is to light up the screen.

Hope this helps you solve your problem and gets you going.

I lost my Masterbuilt electric turkey fryer manual

Go to the MasterBuilt website via this link - and search the list for the Electric Turkey Fryer models that most closely resemble your model. They all seem to show digital controls now, with and without drain valves, but I think the information is essentially the same as for the older dial control models. Recipes are included in the PDF files.

This is the web site for a company that owned the New Braunfels Turkey Fryer. Look at the info and videos for the 'Big Easy' and the instructions are roughly the same.
