A password on boot is registered in the laptop. This is a security feature. In order to unlock the computer you must supply the correct password.
There is no way to bypass the password on boot. To do so you must take the computer to a Toshiba Certified Service Center to have the password erased. You may have to produce proof of ownership.

I need one of the best bios pass word plz i cant get into my laptop is a toshiba A45-s121 could you me thax you for your time

Hi,

Welcome to FixYa!

Are you the one who set up the BIOS password? If not, unfortunately, there's no way for us to retrieved the password. The only way you can reset the password to default settings is to reseat the CMOS battery on the motherboard, its a circular thing that looks like a battery of a watch, sometimes a pin hold it, just detached it then wait for at least 30 minutes then connect it back again,

Note: Before you reseat the CMOS battery, make sure that everything is unplugged on the computer, like AC adapter, battery and all external devices...

Hope this will help...Thank you for using Fixya...

Should a toshiba a45 s121 mb post without memory installed?

No. The A45 series (and the near identical A40 series) have no base memory: at least one of the two RAM sockets underneath the keyboard needs to be populated for it to post.

I have a Toshiba A45-S121 laptop. I upgraded my hard drive from a 40GB hard drive to a 320GB Western Digital. Loaded Windows XP and formated drive in FPTS format. The computer rebooted to the hard drive...

Best possible solution put back your 40GB and try to get an external casing for your 320GB to see if it works. And try windows on NTFS instead of FPTS, so reformat your 320GB and install the Windows XP again.
I hope this solution is helpful.

On the web, go to Toshiba.com and select your country. Look for support or downloads then choose your computer. You should get to a page that has all the latest downloads for your computer. You may want to download them all as they will be the latest, and install them.
