Question about Konica Minolta bizhub C250 All-In-One Laser Printer
I currently have a Bizhub c450 however it has been taken to the shop for repair due to a power surge.
They gave us a loaner (Bizhub c250)
Here is the problem.
When we first set it up on the network every computer (4 in total) could print to the bizhub and scan from the machine.
However yesterday after about 3 hours it disappeared of the network. You could see the name of the machine. But when you try to connect it would say not found on the network.
I closed shop and shut down everything as usual.
This morning I turned everything back on and to my amazement everything was working.
Now about three hours later it has done it again. Vanished off the network.
I decided to power it down. I waited about 3 minutes then powered it back up.
Guess what it came back on the network.
Is this a normal problem for this machine, because the same thing happened to the C450
I am just curious if anybody has any ideas
If same thing happened with c450, then i guess, that the problem is in the network. does the printer answere a ping, also you can ping from printer to network. maybe youll find something. but last option is that you have to upgrade firmware or change network board, also check network settings from printer.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Ocr scan for Bizhub C450
according to what I read on the C450 biz hub, in order to do OCR you need to use the option that scans to SMB, that sends the scanned documents to your computer on the network. You can then process the documents on your computer with the OCR software program so you can edit the finished documents. I did not see anything that indicated the Bizhub had OCR software capabilities built into the unit. Regards, rcampsr

SOURCE: Printing labels on bizhub C450
Yes and no, sorry if that doesn't make much sense.
For years Minolta recommended Avery labels, but these days they recomment labels manufactured by Howard Smith Papers, their website is http://www.hspg.com/
The thing with labels is always to use the one your copier service company suggests. Otherwise they'll invalidate you contract and you'll be liable for callouts and repairs caused by using Avery labels.
However, Avery labels are good and I have experienced very few problems with them I pressume you using the lables in the correct orientation and also using the manual bypass to feed them.
