Lexmark printer in particular have a prong on the left side top of the cartridge that when the upper front cover is lowered contacts the sensor that creates this error. this sensor is mounted to the hinge assembly and has a little metal actuator lever that can be adjuted by bending the metal tab a little bit. all lasers have some variation of thius method. and these tabs are clearly visable as are the sensors
