Hi there,

Well first of all you can try to reset your audiovox - To correct a system halt or other illegal operation, use the tip of a pen to press the reset button (9) located on the front bottom-left corner of the unit. After a system reset, the unit restores all factory default settings.

I'm afraid it looks like the charging circuit on the mainboard is dead and is very hard if impossible to re-work so it looks like it will have to have the m/board replaced.
I was an engineer for Acer and saw a lot of these issues but unfortunately most of them were not repairable.

The right hand side of my PHASE LINEAR radio/cd/dvd player is not working

The biggest problem in most of any of these devices is the poor soldering. If you know of anyone who is well experienced in soldering can fix this. The problem is almost entirely in the power supply. You will not have to purchase parts. Resolder the power supply, even if the solder looks good!

Something is draining my battery on my 1998 Cadillac DeVille

I suspect parasitic draw. All vehicles draw some power from the batteries when the car is shut off. Certain accessories such as clocks, radios remote door openers and alarms always need power. The normal power used is called parasitic draw.

It is always a very low draw so it doesn't run the battery down. If you install accessories like shortwave radios or plug things like inverters and portable refrigerators into the accessory socket and operate them too long without the engine running you can drain your batteries to the point where the engine won't start. If there is an electrical short in the vehicle or a malfunctioning accessory it could be drawing much more than its normal load causing a drain on the batteries. If you leave your door open and the inside lights stay on all night you could drain the battery down till the car won't start.

Here's also a good resource for your car specifically on narrowing down the cause of the drain.

My Computer Kepps Turning off!

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

My calculator just shut off while i was using it, i replaced the triple A batteries but now it still won't turn on, how can i fix it?

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and hold the 2ND key. Press and hold the + key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.
If this doesn't do it, please reply to this post and we'll go on from there.

My car radio push button switch is broke and the radio stays on unless the car is shut off will this drain the battery . If so is there a fuse for the radio that can be taken out?

As long as it goes off when you switch off the engine, it won`t drain the battery. If it stays on, it means it it is connected directly from the battery and yes.. it will drain it.
