Question about Tunturi Exercise & Fitness

My J620 Tunturi treadmill is speeding-up out of control when I start it. In the past I have used the reset button or re-started. Neither works any longer. Can this be fixed?

Hi there,

Well you can please follow the below steps -
1. You may have a belt and deck problem.
a) without the power on stand on the walking belt
b) push the belt in the direction it normally turns

2. If it passes the belt/deck checks, you may have a DC board output problem. If the belt tests ok and you have a speed variation, try following -
a) Set the speed to 2.5 MPH. Let the treadmill run without anyone on the belt. Check to see if the speed is constant or if there is a variation.
b) If there is no variation, step on the belt. If the speed slows down or speeds up, you may have an output problem on the DC board. This is the board that connects directly to the motor.
Please post comments for further help or information.....

Good Luck!!

Thanks

System check failure

You can completely switch off the power for a few minutes and there is also a 'reboot' button at the front/bottom of the treadmill that needs to be pushed for about 5 sec (check manual). In my case that did not work and I had to replace the complete control panel/dashboard. My problem was different, I got funny messages about errors and flashing numbers on the dashboard. Tunturi was helpful in getting me the necessary spare parts. Good luck.

Tunturi t7 showing error 20 !

this means the treadmills power reading when the treadmill was operating at speeds of 1 miles per hour or less . Excessive amount of power is being demanded from the motor controller for an excessive period of time
Causes:treadmill user (especially a heavier user) is standing on the drive belt.
the drive belt too is badly worn.
brush motor faulty
SCR motor cotroller lekay or shorted drive motor or capacitor
IN short RUN the sotware calibration for diagnostic.
Remedies:Lube the deck belt, determine using AC ammeter for the amount of use the current being drawn by the readmill.Replace the drive motor brushes.or replce the motor controller board. see the block diagram

Can not locate speed sensor in tunturi j620p treadmill

I also have a speed problem with my Tunruri J620. In the last week the speed gets erratic over 4.0 mph. speed sensor is not labeled on any diagrams in manual. I took off the cover and the only piece that seems possible is a black piece about 1 " square that sits on the edge of the control board where the board is notched for the motor flywheel. the flywheel has alternating reflective and black coating on the side facing this piece. I believe this must be the speed sensor and that it is an optical or maybe magnetic sensor that measures the time between the pass of each reflective mark on the flywheel. The black piece has a phillips screw that looks like an adjustment screw in the center. It is flush with the end of the control board which is about 0.6 cm from the face of the flywheel.

My tunturi T 20 gets error code E 7. it starts up, and after 5 or 10 seconds, it stops and flashed the error code. I have tried the recommended solution, which is to unplug the treadmill, wait a minute to...

From time to time, error codes will pop up on your treadmill. It just takes a quick second to clear the error log and get the treadmill up and running again.
1.When the treadmill is not in use, press the "Stop," "ENTER" and "QUICK START" buttons in rapid succession. The "RESET" button can also be used, in place of the "Stop" button.
2.Press the "ENTER" button three times to access the treadmill's error log.
3.Press the up or down arrows to scroll through the error codes, if necessary for club or personal logging purposes.
4.To view the treadmill's odometer reading when a particular error code was elicited, press "SELECT" while a particular error code is displayed.
5.To clear the error log, press "QUICKSTART" for a minimum of four seconds while viewing the list. Prompts will appear on the display and let you know when the log has been deleted.
I hope you find it very helpful.
