Whirlpool gold gu2475xtvy1 makes load buzzing noise

Hi I am Kelly,
The loud buzzing is most likely the motor that is not turning. This is caused by a couple of things.
1. Possible motor bearing failure
2, Debris in the impeller
See this diagram:
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/frame_diagram.aspx?diagram_id=28112054&pkw_=basket&model_id=5511402&NewWindow=1

When this happens you have to remove the lower spray arm items 1 - 4 of this link:
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/frame_diagram.aspx?diagram_id=28112059&pkw_=basket&model_id=5511402&NewWindow=1

Then remove items 3, 1, of the sump. Inspect the sump area for any debris in the area of the macerator item 6. Be careful as the macerator can be sharp. Try and rotate the macerator. DO NOT force it it should move either direction of rotation. Sould you only be able to move it a little in either direction there is something in the impeller item 21 first link. The impeller can be broken and pieces if it prevent rotation.

Replacement parts can be found here:
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5511402&diagram_id=28112054#d28112054

This should help you find out why your dishwasher is buzzing. Just make sure before you do any work UNDER the dishwasher that you remove all power from the unit. There are a few places that you can really get a good shock. (More than once here!)

My cal pump 7500 gph still works but is making a very loud humming noise. Do I need to replace my entire pump?

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

Probably...You can try to check for any debris that got into the impeller and has the pump seized up causing it to buzz loudly instead of run. If you do not find debris but turning the impeller by hand “snaps the impeller free” so-to speak you will need to start looking for a new pump soon. You may get it running but water has likely penetrated the sealed motor section of the pump and ‘froze’ it. Moving it free by hand will be a temporary fix.

If this answer does not fix your problem, please comment with additional details prior to rating the answer. Positive feedback is appreciated once your problem is solved!

Diswasher motor making noise during wash cycle

It could be the impeller on the motor. The impeller fits over the shaft of the motor and might have split/broken up. That funny noise is probably the shaft spinning inside the damage impeller. Fortunately the impeler is fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. I believe there are one or two parts/covers to remove that are held in by a roughly half dozen torx screws.
