Since this player don't have any software or driver for macbook sorry to say but there's no way that this unit will work with it. Because in order for a device to work on a computer it needs a software/driver in order for it to be recognized and to work with the computer.

You can try to connect the player to your MAC and check if it will be recognized as a USB drive and if its, you can do the transfer of music that way, from your MAC to the player just like how you transfer file from mac to a USB drive.

How do I do that? I'm not too good with computers. Probably would have bought an ipod or something compatible if I'd known better. Tracy

Ok this player should have a USB cable that came with it,you just connect the player to your macbook using the USB cable that came with it then while its connected restart the mac and then check if it will be detected but if still not, the best thing to do here even if you don;t have the receipt for it to retunr it and have it replace with a IPOD instead.

Hello,

There are many people with this same problem searching for solution to this, i would suggest you install any driver software that came with the RCA M4304 4GB MP3 player on your laptop and restart the laptop before connecting RCA M4304 4GB MP3 player to your system, this way, recognize it, but to be candid, My wife wanted a small MP3 player for running, but getting one compatible with OS X is a big problem. Many players simply ignore the Mac, and those that don't seem to only support OS 9 at best. so the problem is every where with mac not been compatible with this product.

Take care.

plug in mp3 and there should be a window come up with what you want to do. choose rip music or download music. if you canplug it in and the computer finds your mp3 player. when it starts to play choose rip music. if it cannot find it look for your mp3 player on the internet and download instructions.

I have a SanDisk Sansa m200 mp3 and a macbook pro

Even on a Macbook pro, you should be able to access your "my computer" option, where it shows you the local disk drives and everything. your mp3 player icon should appear there. then after you click on the icon it should bring up a page containing folders "on" your mp3 player. there doesnt have to be any music or videos or anything like that to have the folders already on there. now i dont have a mac but what i suggested you to do should work.

The only website that will have the Vista compatible software is the RCA website - I know the Pearl and other models are Vista-compat now, but I'm not 100% sure about the Lyra. Enter your model # into the RCA support site to find out.
