JVC HA-S700 Cable Problem

The cable for one of the earphones on my JVC HA-S700 headphones has separated from the earphone itself and is not severed (no sound coming out of that side, the other side works perfectly fine). How can I fix this?

External speakers are working but headphones/earphones are not working on my computer

Maybe the headphone connector is broken. If that is correct you need to replace the motherboard. If you had connected the earphone and accidentally received a tug on the cable perhaps the earphone connector was damage.

My left head phone isn't playing music anymore, what should I do?

Usually the problem is a cut at one of the copper cables. Try moving the cables at bothe ends (jack and earphone end) to locate the end that has the problem. In case it's the jack's side, you can easily change this end with another jack (complete jack and part of the cable from another headphones) by connecting the cables. The best solution is to change the jack with another one and solder the cables but since these cables are very thin, it isn't so easy. In case the problem is at the earphone side, you have to open the earphone and reconnect it at the cable again removing the part of the cable that is cut, but since the cables are too thin isn't so easy.

The cable on the headphone is broken, no music comes out anymore. Can I repair them / open the in ear headphones to resolder them ???

If the broken link is along the cable (not in the earphone) just cut the cable very close to the earphones and replace it with a new one (a stereo cable should contain at least 3 different wires inside). If the cable is broken inside the earphone itself, it is possible to solder it but because we are talking about a earphone it could be hard to open them and to closed them back in.

How do you Fix earphone?

It could be the wire is broken inside, or more likely the jack is not fitting into the plug as well as it did when new. Have you tried it in another device to see if it works there?

Ipod doing wierd thingg

First off - Is there any warranty warranty left? Otherwise what most likely happened is the headphone jack connector broke a terminal. If it is a model with a screen, the headphone jack is a separate piece off the motherboard. It's a cheap part off of ebay, just find someone with nimble hands to reconnect the ribbon cable inside.

My old KOSS TD/60 Stereophones have a broken cable right near the earphone entry point. How can I open the earphone to repair or replace the cable?

I figured that that the earphones were pretty old, so if my 'repair' didn't work I would just replace them with new ones. There is a groove filled with acoustic foam that runs right around each earcup that terminates at the cord's entry point. After removing the headband yoke by carefully popping it out of each earcup I simply gripped both sides of the earcup and applied outward pressure until the front and back halves separated. Fortunately they are held together by plastic clips that snap apart. Once I had located the fault in the cable and repaired it the earcup halves easily snapped back into place. I now have a functioning set of headphones again!
