Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
My Nintendo DSi from less than a year old, does not want to turn on. I charged it and it does not take the charge. So it is dead. Anything I can do?
Well, it looks like your battery is depleted. Try going to this website for more on what to do. http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/dsi/en_na/trouble_power.jsp
It gives you some options for what to do.

Will the DSi power on while connected to the charging cable? If it does, then you have a bad battery.
If it does not, then it could be the plug on either the charger or the receiver on the unit. The charging cable should have two copper connectors on the bottom. The plug on the system should have a prong in the middle on it as well. If this is damaged or missing, it may require a replacement power supply.

Your battery seems to have died. You can send it to nintendo so they can replace your battery.
