Firstly try changing the data cable for your hdd, check power connector/cable, or probably it could be the mother board that is not functining properly,

How can I fix my dell inspiron m5030 hard drive crash

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

I have Dell inspiron 1525 window vista recovery reports 5 error are detected in hard drive and memory errors detected on my laptop 1. hard drive doesnt respond to system commands-critical error 2.boot...

your HDD may be corrupted, re-installing windows vista is one option. Your best bet is if you have/ can obtain a copy of windows vista run setup and try the repair wizard in the windows vista setup, the wizard automatically finds errors and missing files and replaces them therefore solving any errors in your HDD. you can also try to use the recovery wizard from your recovery disc. best of luck

So I turn on my Dell Inspiron 1526 and all that happens is the fans fun but nothing else. No hard drive lights at all. Suggestions?

Go inti the BIOS settings and see if the BIOS detects the hard drive.
If not then re-seat the hard drive to make sure it is connected properly.
If the hard drive still isn't detected, then most likely the hard drive is faulty.
In this case to get the Dell operating again, replace the hard drive, install Windows on the new hard drive plus install the Dell Inspiron 1526 device drivers and your programs.

Inspiron 1721 can not find sata hard drive after post

Hi. You may need to reseat the hard drive by pulling it out and pushing it back in. If the system still won't boot to windows, and displays a " No Bootable Device Found" then you must have a busted hard drive. you may end up replacing the hard drive.

Hope it helps... ^_^

Operating system missing on the screen then power

Sounds like it can not detect the hard drive or the partition has corrupted? Pop in your Dell Windows Recovery CD, press F12 to boot from CD, select R to repair Windows, go into Recovery Console, and from C:\Windows type chkdsk / r and press enter. This may fix any errors causing your issue. Otherwise, you may need to run a diagnostic on your hard drive to ensure it is not defective, then reinstall your Operating System again. Have you tried removing and reseating the hard drive first?

Dell inspiron 1721 hard drive not recognized for Vista reinstall

ok, theres a small issue with the raid controller. You have to install a 3rd party raid driver (its on the dell cd) to continue, OR, you can set that BIOS's hard drive controls to ATA or LEGACY (legacy would likely work best, but youd have no 'raid' functions, but who sets up raid drives on a notebook?). Your last option is use the dell discs to restore, and inssert the windws disc when prompted

Cannot get dell inspirion 1721 to find hard drive on system restore

Try restarting, and pressing f2 to access the bios, and making sure the bios is recognizing the hard drive..

If it is not, you will need to flash the bios for your machine..
