I just bought a bluetooth speaker and can make and receive calls through it, but can't hear any music, even though it looks like the files are playing and the bluetooth device indicates it's receiving streaming. Did anyone find the solution to this?

My iPhone SE stopped making sound when ringing, it only vibrates. I have checked all settings/side button, all correct. All other alerts-text, etc.-still work with sound alerts. Anyone know how to fix?

One thing to check is the ringer volume - by default you can change the ringer volume using the volume controls on the side of the phone even when the phone is locked - this often means that it can get pressed in your pocket to zero volume, which is very annoying. Try pressing the volume up button from the home screen while not playing any music and see if it goes up. You can set the volume in the settings and even tell the buttons to only change music volume, which is what I do.

Can't hear sound for text message

Go into your settings menu and check your sound levels.
Settings - Sound.
Most Android phones have separate volume levels for notifications, music, and calls. Chances are your notification volume is turned all the way down.

I am in my 80s and rely on getting audible signal when some one sends me new word in a game. The audible signal has disappeared. I believe I have all notifications switched on my ipad

Ok, not trying to sound like a jerk, just covering all the bases here. First: be sure the switch above the volume control buttons is towards the top of the iPad not the bottom. This generally controls the volume/mute for the device, but can be setup to do something else like rotation lock. Second make sure that volume is turned up all the way using the buttons below that switch. Pay attention when pushing the up button if on the screen it says "volume" or "ringer". If that doesn't work go into your settings go down to the "sounds" category. At the top of this menu you should see "Ringer and Alerts" with a slider for the level (make sure it is all the way up). You can then select the "change with buttons" switch to off if you only want the buttons on the side of the device to change the volume for the audio when play media like videos or music, but not the alert sounds when you receive a new email or notification.

Hope this helps, please upvote my answer if it did and if you have any additional questions please ask them in this comment string to I am notified of them and they are all located in one place for other users to easily find.

Hi how can i increase volume on my blackberry 9000. Even on high volume setting there is no ringtone sometimes

Hi there

On your Blackberry menu, there's an icon that resembles a person's head that represents profiles. In the profiles menu, you can select the volume for the notifications you receive when messages or calls come in. Choose "Loud" to hear all notifications at an equal volume, equivalent to the maximum output possible.

Some ring tones just remain less audible than others even when they're set to maximum volume. If you've tried increasing the volume of your notifications but still can't hear the ringer sometimes, try downloading a custom ringtone from the Blackberry App Store.

When selecting a custom ringtone, choose something distinctive and hard to ignore. When previewing the tone, determine whether it seems louder or easier to hear than your existing tone. Download more than one tone and experiment throughout the day.

After you've downloaded custom ringtones, set your phone to use these ringers by going into the applicable notification profile. Select "Show Tunes" and open the media folder where you've chosen to save your downloaded tones. Select the ringer you want and click "Set as Phone Tune."

I can't hear any sound. And instead of ringing it vibrate.Even I've try to listen song but nothing is happening.

Hi there

First go to your ringer settings to check if the volume is not too low or turned off.

The problem is from your RINGER/SPEAKER,

The ringer/speaker is what brings out sound from your mobile phone when you are called, you receive a text message or you are playing music.

The ringer of your phone is faulty and you need to get a repairer to replace it for you to solve this problem

Thank you for visiting fixya

There are many settings in Windows Media Player for Ripping music. Make sure yours are set to WMA with 192kbps or higher..

Windows Media Player>Tools>Options>Rip Music (Copy CD).

Best of Luck.
