Unplug from outlet when moving fan from one location to another, before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning. The possible reason for light not coming on is either the power outlet in which fan is connected is faulty or the fan power cord itself is not plugged in properly.Remove and re-check both the possibilities. If both checked ok then its time to check the power to the outlet by meter.Remove the fan power cord and check it with continuity tester.if the power cord is short then continuity tester will not glow.if the power cord is ok the tester will glow red light. If power cord checked ok then its time to check the internal power supply board. There is a fuse and other electrical components on the board. If any of the one gets short or stops functioning the fan light will not power On. The components needs to be checked with meter and faulty component has to be replaced. 1. Set the fan on a dry level surface. 2. Plug power cord into any standard 120V AC outlet. 3. To turn the fan on, press either speed control button. 1-Low, 2=high. 4. To turn the fan off press the on/off button. 5. To turn on the oscillation feature press the oscillation button once. To turn the oscillation feature off press the oscillation button once. I have two ceiling lights in a room. Want to install ceiling fan in one outlet. How do I wire it so that I can have fan in one place but turn off light in other? Do I have to hot-wire ceiling fan?

You simply use the ceiling fan switch to power the fan. U can hook it up in parallel to the other light fixture. The wall switch can power both units but you can always shut off the fan. To run the fan and kill the light you would need a separate circuit for the light with its own switch. Or hot wire the fan as you indicated.

Why did fan and lights stop working?

If you are controlling lights and fan only with the remote - no problem. Once you start flipping switches, the remote control loop is broken. You can restore remote control by setting the wall switches to off, turning off power at the circuit breaker (or fuse), and waiting for a few minutes during which you will be removing the battery from the remote and pushing all buttons, then reinstalling the battery. When time is up, restore power and try the remote. If no luck, check to be sure the wall switches are set to off and repeat the routine.

Kenmore Humidifier not operating?

Turn the unit off, lift the fan assembly off the base, and push the connector together that goes to the float switch on the bottom of the fan motor. If you hold the switch in with your finger (careful not to get into the fan blades) and turn the unit on, the F indication should go away. F (as in Fill), apparently, means the base has no water. The plastic tube that sticks up out of the base floats on the water and pushes the switch. Put it back together, it should work!

Fan is Erratic

Ceiling fans with wireless remote controls have an electronic receiver installed in the fan, which controls the light, dimming, and fan speed. Sometimes the receiver goes bad and needs to be replaced. If you have had any power outages or power surges, they may have fried the receiver. I've noticed that my ceiling fan light turns on when the power is restored after a power outage. Now, whenever my power goes out, I shut off the light switch that powers my ceiling fan so It doesn't experience a surge to to the controller when the power comes back on. I've purchased new receivers on eBay and Amazon to replace my blown remotes and receivers.
