Question about GE Refrigerators
It's called a water valve. If the machine has water in the door, it is called a dual water valve, if there is only an ice maker it is called a single water valve.
Water leaking from the bottom of the machine may or may not be related to this valve. The water could be the valve leaking, the fittings connecting to the supply line as well as the lines connecting to the ice maker or water supply system.
If the leak isn't obvious as to where it is coming from, you will need to prop up either the front or back of the machine and using a flashlight or trouble light and try to trace the source of the leak.
