Question about RCA F19207BC TV

1 Answer

Does the RCA model #F19207BC connect to a dvd/vcr player?

I used my tv only with cable connected for many years. When I upgraded to a digital i sat this tv away. Now I would like to pull it out and use it as a stand alone dvd/vcr player tv and not have it connected to cable. Does this model have the capabilities to connect to a dvd/vcr player? I only see a plug that says antenna and one marked with an F and one marked S. Nothing that reads video in/out.

Nope. No external jacks for video and audio. You can use the antenna connection with the dvd /vcr player by connecting the antenna out on the player with a suitable length of coaxial cable with F connectors on both ends. Then you would locate the channel 3/4 switch on the player and choose either one. On the TV you would put the same channel on the TV tuner that matches the player channel and you will see the picture.

I just bought a digital video disc player & video cassette recorder. I'm having a problem connecting the player to my TV. My model No.is DVP3345VB/F7. Where I'm having a problem is the cable source...

You now connect the cable and the combo directly to the tv by using different connections: the cable goes in the antenna entry and the combo is connected to the tv with a 3-headed RCA cable - with heads of Yellow, Red and White.
Then when you want to see one or the other you just select the appropriate source from the tv's menu using the Source/square with arrow in it/AV or whatever is called in your model button on the remote.

I have a dvd/vcr that does not have a coaxial cable hookup on back of vcr. I need to have my satellite hooked up

If your VCR does not have the coax connection then you should either have RCA inputs and outputs or the BNC type of connections. If you have the RCA style then you can connect your sattelite receiver using them. If you have the BNC type then you may have to contact the manufacturer to see if there are converters available to switch your RCA ends to BNC. You will also have to find out if the BNC connections will even work with the outputs from the satellite receiver.

Blue screen. No audio or video through the cable hook up. RCA model #32V420T

What to do if you have an all snowy picture (blue screen or the TV displays unusable signal-no signal or no sync)
1 – If you are using a digital cable box or satellite receiver (make sure it’s on) and be sure your TV is set for either CH3 or CH4 (which ever you usually view it on). If you usually view it through video inputs (video1 or 2 etc.) make sure the appropriate input is selected.
If you still don’t get a signal see if you get picture using the DVD or VCR (if available) if you do than plug the satellite or Dig. Box temporarily into the place of the DVD (unplug DVD) you may have to use some A/V cables (RCA yel./red/wht like the ones on the DVD) to hook to the tv from the sat./dig. box. If you get a signal then the sat./dig box is ok. If not the Sat./dig box is not sending a signal and is either defective or needs to be rebooted (unplug wait 5 min try again).
2 – If you are using standard cable or antenna (source) if possible check that the source is good by connecting to another TV. Otherwise try running the source into a VCR and then out to the TV using video inputs (RCA yel./red/wht like the ones on the DVD) and then selecting the appropriate input. Try seeing if the VCR plays using standard CH3 (or CH4)
If the VCR plays on video input but not when connected to CH3 (CH4) then the tuner of the TV may be defective – see if you can use the VCR to change channel using the VCR remote.
Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!

I have a new 52" Samsung HD TV with a new Sony Blue Ray player and a Shaw PVR cable box all connected with HDMI cabes. I also have a older digital RCA model RTDVD1 sound system with no HDMI connection and...

I have the same situation....what I have done is connected my Blue ray to the TV via the HDMI connection and the audio to the RTDVD1 via an Optical cable. I find this is the best connection and sound reproduction so far. The input of the RTDVD is the SAT/Optical input and then switch the source to SAT/OPT. You will have to make adjustments in the BlueRay player's audio setup to enable the 5.1 DB digital sound etc.

I want to hook a system

you will only be able to get digital surround( dolby digital ) from your dvd player( by the coax or optical digital connections ) , the rest will only be in virtual surround

from the dtv box plug the yellow video jack(RCA) into the vcr video input , then plug the audio jack or jacks into the audio input on the vcr. from the vcr hook the audio out to the audio in on the reciever( tv/vcr/sat... input ) , then also connect RF out from the VCR to RF in on the TV .
for the dvd player hook the "s-video out" to the "s-video in" on the tv , then the audio L and R on same s-video input , then send the audio out connection on tv to L and R input on reciever dvd L and R input , then you will need to connect the optical from the dvd player to the reciever or coax connections for the dolby digital on the reciever to work

Not able to connect Sharp Model 25h-M60 to Laptop or DVD player

Use a VCR as a A/B switch. Run Cable signal into VCR. Run coax cable out of VCR into television. Connect DVD to VCR (line in) using RCA cables. To use DVD, set VCR channel to L1 or L2 or AUX, depending on VCR type. Set VCR to channel 3 or 4 to watch television. VCR must be powered up to watch DVD.
