Where do you place the envelope on the printer to feed it in

You put the envelope between the adjustable paper guides, with the side you want to print on facing up. Then you have to manually change the paper size by pressing the "Adjustable Functions" button to display "1.Paper Settings." Next you have to press the "Set" button twice, which gives you access to the Paper Size option, where you can select the envelope type with the + and - buttons. After you print your envelope you have to change the paper size back to the size you are using in the tray.

Text is too small

Text size will vary based on the font and point-size used on the document you printed. Try increasing the point size of your document. Another option, if your printer allows it, is to change the size of the printed document. You can try adjusting that percentage. You would find that adjustment under the printer properties on the effects tab.

Print size generally depends on the font size of the item being printed. Adjust the font size in the word processor or browser (and look at print preview) to get the size you want.

Paper mismatch error

I got around this problem by tricking the printer.
The paper sensor, on my printer model hp4500 seems to only sense the paper at the beggining of the print job.
What I did to trick the printer to print on odd size paper is slide the paper adjuster to 8.5 and put a regular white sheet in. Then put your odd size paper under it. When you print your document set the number of copies to 2 and print. The printer is going to sense that the paper is correct, and start the job.
Here is the tricky part... once the first 8.5x11 sheet is almost all the way through quickly slide the paper adjuster over to match the size of your odd width paper. The printer should pick up the odd paper and print the second copy. Fool you printa! You should be able to do batches of odd paper size under the first 8.5X11. I hope this helps.
