Question about LG 50PC1DRA 50 in. Plasma Television
When I turn on the TV within a couple of seconds I hear a pop and it turns off.
I can continue to turn it on and it goes off, but will eventually come on. When it does come on it takes about 5-10 minutes before the audio comes on.
Thanks for using FixYa.It seems to be an issue with the X, Y-main board however; control board should also be checked. As the sound is working fine so it means that power supply unit is functioning properly. Check for any bad/bulged capacitors on these boards. These boards are located on the right side of the unit and to check them you’ll have to open the back of the unit and then blow the dust off with a blow dryer. Once you have opened the back also check for any blown/bulged capacitors. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise & know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when in off position. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
