It is a dumb question.

For all the people who do not know how to change the battery, there's a little button underneath with a little battery picture on it press that n the top pops off then there's the battery compartment there.

Please rate the solution.

Thanks for contacting Fixya.

How do you open the mouse case, I realize this sounds dumb but I can't seem to see any way to open the mouse case?

Hello, is it to get to the batteries? if yes, try sliding back the top rear half of the mouse, the bit that has the logitech logo on it. Once slid back it will then lift off. Easy when you know how! :-)

Battery replacement on logitech wireless mouse How do you open it?

On the bottom of the mouse, where the area to put your USB is, there is a tiny little button that has an image of a battery (it's really little). Push that, and the covering that houses the batteries will pop up. You can then remove the covering easily.

My logitech wireless mouse stopped working. I

Turn the mouse over. There is a battery cover that needs to slide to open. Your mouse should take 1 AA alkaline battery. Also there is a recesssed button on the underside that you you can press (with a pen tip or paper clip to reset the mouse). Either the new battery or the reset should solve your problem.

I don't know how to open and change batteries. I assuming the batteries are dead because red light won't stay on

Just above the Logitech symbol, you'll see 3 small arrows indicating the direction you should slide the cover off.)))

I do not know how to open the battery compartment

On my Logitech wireless mouse, the battery cover is on top.

Hold the front (switch and roller ball section) in your left hand then put your thumb on the Logitech symbol/name on the top cover and move/slide the cover to the right. The back section of the mouse cover top should slide off exposing the battery compartment.

Hope this helps! Dan

Where's the batteries?

I had a similar problem with my battery going dead in my Logitech mouse. There was a "aa" battery located under the rear top cover. it's the part that has the Logitech logo on it. You simply press the button underneath the mouse @ the back that has a LOCK symbol on it & lift off the cover. Put in a new battery & you should be good to go.
