I hope the expert told you to format the card in the camera.

Press the MENU button. Use left/right to select the wrench-and-hammer icon. Use up/down to select "Format". Press the FUNC/SET button. Use left/right to select "OK" and press FUNC/SET.

In general, you should format the card each time you finish transferring all your pictures to your computer.

My cannon sd1100 says to restart it, how do you restart the camera (i lost my book)

"lens error, restart camera". Except restarting (simply turning the camera off, and then back on again) rarely corrects the problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

Cannon powershot SD1100 IS card locked!. How to unlock

Take the memory card out of your camera and look at it. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

I have lost the driver CD to my Cannon Powershot SD1100IS, I can upload pictures fine, but cannot edit any of the pictures..Red eye, etc. Where can I find the software to fix this problem?

The best is Picasa just google for it It imports photos from your camera and also catalogs the ones on your computer, and you can edit with it.

Or another great free software, easier to use in some ways, but not in others irfanview

My camera was working great, but the last time I used it the color was all washed out. Some things in the picture had color and others didn't. I think it has something to do with the color accent. I...

'Washed out' sounds as if the pictures were over-exposed which could be caused by settings which have been altered, as you said. It should be fairly easy to set the camera to 'auto', which will override any unusual settings in the 'manual' mode and be the simplest way to deal with the problem. Naughty girls!

I have lost my Digital Camera Solution CD ROM for canon power shot SD1100 IS - is there anywhere on the web that I can download this?

You can download it from Cannon, support, downloads, choose model. This is horrible software by the way. Once you have the basic driver for your model installed(Windows has many drivers pre-installed for many cameras), you are better off using MS picture and fax viewer. It does not have the lengthy and overly complicated stuff that comes with the camera. Anything that comes with the camera for free is usually junk written by grad students to practice their software engineering.
