Hello,

what you will have to do first of all after you most have unscrew (open)the control board clean up the control panel(board) very well then fix it up again as servicing to be very sure ,because the problem could be cost by dirty or any form of liquid substance around it, then if the problem remain the same then it mean that the control board is bad which will need a replacement not the the touch pad or there is a loose of wire from the control board that will need to be replace back to is position.

please check properly on the connection before going to the store for purchase of the control board .

thank you and thanks for using fixya.

It looks very clean in there, but I can try wiping connectors with alcohol and reseat connectors. There are two boards behind the control panel which are connected together, a smaller one and a large (main) board. I assume it is the larger board that would need to be replaced, but what does the smaller board do? Is it the Power Control Board (PCB)?

Kitchenaid superba kgsc308lssc keypad not working

Hello Ron,
On that touch pad not working do any button at all work?? its not a uncommon thing for the touch pad to quit working,in some case its just a matter of making sure the plug on it has a good connection where it plugs into the control board. If certain button work while others don't its a sign that the control board itself is good and the problem lies within the touch pad and it would need to be replaced. It may possible as to clean the connection of the ribbon cable on the touch pad by using a pencil eraser and try cleaning the ends of the ribbon cable, again if that doesn't work the touch pad would need need to be replaced . On that model the touch pad is integrated onto the control console and the part number for it is 9782418CB just so ya know its pricey (over $200 )
Good luck,GENE

I am getting E0 -F2- error on my Whirlpool Gold Accubake oven display. If I press cancel it sometimes will start but has been working less and less. The range is quite old and I do not have a manual. What...

Shorted keypad (also called touch pad)
1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Display shows E0 F2 after pressing start and cancel at same time. No other buttons work. Stovetop still works.

F2-E0 - Shorted Touch Pad (Keypad) - Check the connection between the touch pad (keypad) and control board (clock) to make sure it is secure.
Select the 'cancel' function and wait 60 seconds.
If error code reappears then replace the touch pad, or touch pad and control board (clock) if all one assembly.

Hi, this error code indicates a shorted key on the touch pad.

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection also clean with a pencil eraser (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Presumed bad circuit board on my LG LRE30755ST electric range

You may wish to try removing and re-seting some of the connectors on the back of the control panel...worked for me when our oven and timers stopped working.....

Remove the sheet metal panel at the top of the back of the oven..three phillips screws....then slide the two blue ribbon, wire connectors out, and re-seat them a few times to get a good connection.

Try to un-seat and re-seat some of the others aswell...perhaps un-plug from the wall first....but make sure there is good connections....then re-plug in, and see what happens...

I am getting an F7 error on my Maytag stove model cre9600acw. What exactly does this mean?

Hi. Generally, this will require you to Replace the touch pad ,or if touch pad is part of the clock, replace the clock (ERC).

ERC = Electronic Range Control Board

My touch pad will not work thus rendering the oven useless. It will not respond to touch. Is there anything I can do sans a new processor pad?

HI. Unfortunately, the touch/key pad is not repairable. Once the circuitry is damaged, the entire board must be replaced. Most units will have an Incorporated control board, that will have the touch/key pad integrated into the main board assembly. If this is the case, simply replace the entire oven control board. If the touch pad is separate from the main control board, replace the touch pad board.

NOTE_ This may be a simple control fault. In this case, simply unplug the unit, or shut down the appropriate circuit breaker for five minutes. This will reset the control. If the issue's persist, replace the failed component.

F7 Code and stove beeps

F7 Function key shorted or stuck button Replace touch pad or clock assembly (also called the ERC) or attempt to un-stick button F7 Shorted key sensed for 32 seconds 1. Membrane shorted, or,
2.
Display board defectiveIf touch pad is a separate unit then unplug it and see if code comes back.  Unplug range before doing so.  Once touch pad is disconnected, plug range back in and see if code shows.  Wait a few minutes.  If no code then replace touch pad.  If code does come on while touch pad is disconnected then replace main control.  If touch pad and main control are all one part then replace the whole control.  Doubt if you would have any luck trying to unstick the bad button as stated above.
