Do the windows (or the operating system in general), start up before your system shuts off, or is it shutting off before loading the O.S?

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

How to turn off auto timed shutdown of calculator power to get constant power when calc is not in use

I don't think there is a way of turning off the auto timed shutdown. You can cover the solar cells, which will probably cause it to shutdown earlier.

Good luck,

Paul

Check if the sleep timer is on. Go to settings and check under timer and check the sleep timer if it's on/off.

My computor wont shut off like it should?

Wthout some more info it's hard to say, but if, when you turn it of, you see the phrases "Preparing to hibernate" or "going to sleep" or basically anything other than "Shutting down" then the correct option to shutdown needs to be selected. On windows XP, click the start logo, select "shutdown" then select "Turn off computer". if you are using Vista, in the start menu, click the arrow next to the power icon then click "Shutdown" with windows 7 just click "shutdown" in the start menu.
If you are trying to turn off your machine using the power button on the machine or on the keyboard, the machine will hybernate by default. To change this, go to "control panel" select power options and edit the current power plan. Look for the setting "change what the power buttons do" or something like that! change it to "turn the computer off"
Hope this helps.

Toshiba A100 touchpad mouse not moving

Hi,
Many toshibas have the facility to turn the mouse/trackpad on or off. I have seen it on the upper keys in blue text, meaning you need to hold the fn (Function) key down at the same time as the mouse enable/disable key.

MacBook locked up, won?t close down

The first thing to try is this: It is a keyboard shortcut to shut down a mac laptop. Press the control key (ctrl) at the bottom and press the eject button at the same time (top button all the way to the right which looks like an arrow pointing up with a line under it). This should bring up a window asking if you want to restart, sleep, cancel or shut down. Click Yes to shutdown! If this does not work, here is the second option. Press the power button down on the upper right side, and just hold it down until the computor turns off. I have done this many times with my own computor when it has crashed with no ill effects, I have heard from Apple that it is not good for your computor and can cause problems, so I would only do this if the keyboard short cut does not work Good luck and if you find this helpful please comment!.

I have set the auto shutdown to maximum, however, the projector keeps shutting after 20 minutes. What is causing this?

Check to make sure that the auto shutdown is turned off. This should prevent any further problems.

My Stilletto 10 doesn't reliably record programmed talk shows. I leave it on and plugged into my car kit (yes, it is powered by a plug that stays on when the car is off) and when I come back it is...

Is it set for auto shut down? It took me months to properly record with this thing, frustrating at best. Now it's almost flawless. Go in to menu then settings then dock. In that menu you will see "Auto Shutdown". If this is on, your receiver will shut off after 4 hours only when plugged into the car dock. When on a home dock it will stay on. Turn this off and it will stay on until you shut down. Auto shutdown is the default setting. If for some reason you receiver is reset, you will need to check this setting again, because it will turn auto shutdown on again. Hope this helps.

Shutdown

Auto shutdowns can be any number of problems but since it seems to do it about the same time frame of turning it on then I would verify and make sure that the heatsink / cpu fan is installed correctly and thermal grease has been applied. Also run a memory check as failed memory could also result in a simillar problem. Another source of problems simillar to this would be the power supply.
