Question about Storkcraft Baby DwellStudio for Target Silver Lake Crib White Honey Oak

2 Answers

I have a dwell studio silver lake crib first edition(by stork craft) and need to know how to convert it to a toddler bed. Although the instruction manual states that "the provided guardrail must be used" when using the crib as a "toddler bed or day bed" however, no guardrail came with the crib or any explanation on how to use the crib as a toddler bed. My son is 22 months and has figured out how to climb over the railing so I want to know how I can use this crib as a toddler bed... (do I just remove the drop side railing and find a bed rail so he doesn't fall off the side while sleeping)?

You take the drop side railing off to convert to a toddler bed. The guardrail does not come with the crib. The manufacturer sells a guardrails seperately. We removed our side railling when our daughter "escaped" when she was 14 months and now we use an old upholstered chair as our guard rail. Hope this helps you.

Thanks.... basically what I was thinking of doing. I spoke to the manufacterer today and they stated they didn't even HAVE a guardrail that can be ordered! So, I will take drop side off and purchase a bed rail!

Hello,

From my findings, i would suggest you just just remove the drop side railing and find a bed rail that will protect your baby from falling off while sleeping. this way, you can be rest assured and even get specification that will soot you and guide and protect your baby from falling while sleeping.

Take care.

Need conversion Instructions for Storkcraft Lennox Crib

Vancouver-based manufacturer Stork Craft is voluntarily recalling more than a million baby cribs in Canada and the United States over a potential suffocation hazard.
The cribs were manufactured in Canada, China and Indonesia between May 2000 and November 2008, the company said in a release.
About 494,000 of the cribs were sold in Canada and 535,000 in the U.S. in several retailers such as Wal-Mart, Kmart and J.C. Penny, as well as on several websites, including Amazon.com, Babiesrus.com, Costco.com and Walmart.com, the U.S.Consumer Product Safety Commission said in an advisory Tuesday.
This is why it's taking so long for them to respond.
They are very busy. When you do get through to them you may be entitled to a replacement or free parts.

Need to know how to convert from crib to toddler bed

Unfortunately Products America does not provide parts to the Jardine cribs due to a recent recall they underwent that covered a large quantity of their cribs. I did check your model number and it IS on the recall list as one of the cribs that has been determined unsafe. You may want to check on that before continuing use of the crib, even in toddler bed form it may be unsafe. Here is the link to the Jardine recall page: http://www.jardinecribrecall.com/
