Have you made recent changes to the comp? What computer is it, what's the O.S.? Sounds like maybe the driver is gone. Go to the device manager in the control panel and check for a yellow question mark or exclamation mark, if you find one, right click and click update driver, then follow the directions on the screen.

The HK695-01 manual states maximum power is 120 watts. I would pull the fuse out, go to an auto part store or an electronic/hardware store to find a 1-Amp fuse, same physical length and size, and replace it.

You might want to ask any auto mechanic to check the original fuse to see if it's blown. The task takes seconds, so I would not expect any charges.

Hope that helps.

Check the fuse (at the back of the subwoofer). I had the same problem, replaced the fuse, and the speakers went back on!

How did you find the replacement fuse? I need to replace mine and I called Harmon/Kardon and Dell who I bough the HK695 from and neither could tell me what the correct replacement fuse was. The online manual I found also doesn't provide details.

Seems to be no power to speakers.

Disconnect green speaker jack from computer and see if you get a green power light on speakers. If the speakers indicate they have power, your sound card or circuit is shorting out the speakers. If you still have no power to the speakers when disconnected from computer, then no green light means no power to speakers. Either you’re A.C. adaptor is bad or the speakers are shorted out. You have 2 options:
1) Replace A.C. adaptor.
2) Replace speakers.
If you buy new speakers, make sure that they have their own power source (A.C. adaptor).

I cant install Computer Speakers can someone help me? I have taken speaker wire out of port over and over again and nothing happens.

First of all check your wiring is right. If you have a pair of speakers they need power so they should have a wire which goes into the electrical supply. Then they need to be connected to each other and thirdly they need to be connected via a wire probably green-tipped into a port on your computer. Probably green also. Once all these wires are in you can test them.
Find a CD or something and see if it will play. If not you need to go into control panel. Click start and find the control panel. You can type the word "control" in the "run" or "search" option if you want to(depends on whether you have XP or Vista) Look for your sound options. They may be set to mute or no-sounds. Enable them and your speakers should work. Also check that your volume is up......obviously :)
