Question about Konica Minolta bizhub 350 All-In-One Laser Printer

Bizhub 350 Error CD004

We have a new bizhub 350 that will alternate errors between "failed to overwrite all data" and "malfunction detected please call your tech rep CD004"

Does anyone know what's going on here? Seems to be a problem with the disk drive, but even after entering the service mode and telling it there is no disk, the problem remains.

CD004 "failed to overwrite" error? This worked for me. I am not sure how complete the overwrite was but it blanked out all the addresses that used to show on the test sheet.

I tried the 35 hour(!) "overwrite" function but it kept getting CD004 error. This process allowed me to unlock printing function again and wipe the HD.

go to Service Mode (hit these buttons: utility/counters>details>stop>0>0>stop>0>1>Password:00000000>end

go to System Input, turn HD to NO, hit END, home screen will show "failed to overwrite data" again, turn main power switch off for 10 seconds and then turn it on again, home screen should show "all data overwritten"

Go to utility>admin management>Password:12345678>Format hard drive> Format is complete> turn main power off for ten seconds and then on again

Print function should be restored. Go into System Mode again and turn the hard drive back to YES/ON

SOLVEDDD..go to service mode..system1>>initialize>> cleard data>>restart printer n solved..n if that didnt work check the cables..it worked for me

I looked through the service manual for this and I see "tech rep mode" listed. I don't think you can access this from your digital screen, but look for it. Other than that it suggested opening the "front door" and closing it again with the power on to reset. Hope this helps. If you manage to access the Tech Rep mode, there is a button to press to reset the machine...

Cant access tech rep mode

Failed to overwrite all data bizhub 250


the overwrite data function is supposed to take about 35 hours but the ones that i have done took about 20 hours and ounce the process is started you should never interupt it this function overwrites all the data on the hard drive HD-504 you could try formatting the hard drive first then overwrite again
1touch the utility/counter button then details
2 press stop,0,0,stop,01
3 enter 00000000 touch end
4 touch tech rep mode
5 touch function
6 touch hard disk format
7 touch yes
8 touch enter when the message the hard disk format completed.result:ng appears touch ok
9 touch hard disk format
10 touch yes
11 touch enter this starts the formatting procedure
12 when the message "the hard disk format completed. result:OK appears touch OK
13 press the reset key
14 touch exit on the tech rep screen
if the format fails replace the hard drive the format process takes about 30 minutes if you need further instructions on how to replace the hard drive post it

Minolta Di3510F indicated malfunction error with code COBAO. Can anyone help?


COBAo = Elevate mechanism malfunction.
The exit tray home position sensor is not blocked even after the lapse of a given period of time after the tray has started moving up.
An encoder clock input is not detected within a given period of time during operation of the tray.Check the sensors,motors and his connectors.
How to reset:
1. Press the trouble reset switch on the Tech.Rep.Setting Switches Board to reset the following malfunctions:scanner,fusing,exposure related malfunctions and C3FF.
2. For any other malfunctions open and close the front door or turn OFF and ON the power switch.

Konica/Minolta biz 350 C2557 after replacing DV unit and drum F8


tha minolta di3510 developer unit looks the same as the unit for the konica minolta bizhub 350 but the toner sensor in the minolta unit uses a different voltage range for the toner sensor and it will throw this code make sure you have the correct unit for this machine also you can try this
go back into tech rep mode and change these settings:
select tech rep choice mode
select printer tab
select atdc sensor gain
set the value to about 165
then back all the way out to the ready screen and power the machine off then back on and replenish toner in the user management screen.

Hi, C-12CB means you have a problem with a transfer of data from the Hard Drive.
You may be able to format it somewhere in the Administrator settings.
If not, a service engineer can Format the HDD in Tech Rep mode.

try to turn these IU's manually, and reset the error, sometimes helps, because usually motors works fine. also you may try to change IUs
