Ther is a software problem and the phone as to be sent in to be reprogramed. This of course will wipe out any stored data. I to had this problem and LG knew the exact fix for it.

YES! You will have to find another back for the phone or order one through a repair shop. If you are tricky you may try prying the clear lens cover from the inside of the back and replacing it with an equally thick piece of butyrate or lexan sheet found in RC model shops or something around the house, perhaps an old cell phone ((plexiglass scratches easily). Do NOT use superglue as it will cloud the plastic. Michaels has some white craft glue that dries clear or you can buy some RC-56 at the hobby store which is designed for this purpose (clear canopies, windows, and windshields). I am pasting this link from Howard's Forums to help you with disassembly. It has photos and everything:

SOURCE: vibrate stopped working
Pls check your battery power if it has gone out. If the battery has gone out then phone might not be able to draw enough power from it when vibration mode is on.

1) Try removing the battery
2) wait 60 seconds
3) reinsert and power on
4) if problem is not resolved you need to get it in for warranty replacement.
If you are on verizon, you can walkin to any verizon store with a tech support dept and they may be able to exchange it onsite.
Hope this helps.

yes of course, it can be fixed. If you have a phone screw driver, you can open the phone and check if the touch screen flex is well fixed. It might be that it has disconnected or not firm to its normal position when it dropped on the floor.
But it you can check it your self, you can take the phone to a repairman.
