Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players

2 Answers

I have a DVD player 2110. When I insert disc I get a "disc loading" message and then "no disc". If I turn it on and off several times, I will occasionally get it to play. If it does, it plays fine. Is it something in the set up or is it just worn out? I have lost my direction manual. Any Help appreciated

Assuming you haven't tried to hack this Mintek 2110 for region-free playback, the problem is likely with your laser. If it is simply dirty, a lens cleaning disc could help it to work better, like otacon says.

If the laser is getting misaligned, a technician would have to re-adjust it for more reliable playback.

Lens cleaner discs can be purchased pretty cheaply at any computer of office supply store. Here's one from Memorex available through Amazon.

Won't complete the load disc process

Loading may mean it is not seeing the disc---A dirty or bad optical pickup is possible if you get this error with every disc.

Buy a DVD cleaning kit and follow instructions, if no! the laser pickup assembly is bad, and not cost effective to repair

My Sony DVP-CX777ES player just opens and closes several times upon powering up. Then it stops and I get an error message that reads "C 32 00." Then it turns off.

Hi,
Please check door mechanism as explained in chat session and possibly loading belt and/or door switches could be culprit and causing problem.
Hope this will help.
Thanks.

My DVD player wont read a disc

There are several things you can do to try and solve your problem: Make sure that the DVDs you try to play are encoded for the right region. Make sure that the transportation lock (usually a plastic screw on the bottom of the unit), is not engaged. Turn off player with disc inserted, unplug temporarily from wall outlet, plug back in and turn back on.
