HP laptop wont start up or wont connect to moniter

If you plug the VGA external lead in before powering the laptop up. If nothing on the screen and because the fan is running hard, there may be a GPU issue caused by over heating. The GPU may need the solder removing and leaded solder replaced to get it to work again. A specialist job!

No heat on 2005 nissan pathfinder

The owners manual gives a procedure for obtaining diagnostic codes from the Body Control Module (BCM) and displays them on the HVAC control display panel. Some things that may be at fault are, a defective heater pump, which will lead to an air lock in the system, or a defective blend air door motor in the heater and cooling unit assembly. It is system which can tax the patience of the best of diagnosticians.

I don't have a repair manual for White Westinghouse dryer. Need to replace heating element. Not sure how to get to the element

Instructions
    • Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet before servicing the Westinghouse dryer.

    • Insert the putty knife into the gap above the front panel and below the top panel. Lift the putty knife handle up to unfasten the internal locking clips.

    • Lift the top panel from the dryer cabinet. Rest the panel on the wall behind the dryer.

    • Remove the two screws on the top border of the front panel. Lift the front panel straight up to unhook it from the dryer cabinet. Unplug the connector leading into the front panel. Set the front panel aside.

    • Move the idler pulley arm toward the front of the dryer cabinet to loosen the belt. Remove the belt from the drum and pulleys.

    • Lift the drum out of the dryer cabinet.

    • Disconnect the electrical plugs leading into the heating element. Unfasten the screws securing the element to the inside of the cabinet. Lift the element out of the cabinet.

    • Place the new heating element inside the dryer. Connect the screws holding the element to the cabinet. Plug the electrical connectors into the element.

    • Reposition the front panel. Plug the door switch connector into its socket on the front panel. Press the panel straight down into the base. Reinstall the screws along the top of the panel.

    • Lower the top panel onto the dryer. Press down on the panel to lock it into place

Heater does not come on, Radiator fluid full. Fluid heats, heater does not work blower works heater does not get hot or even warm.

Probably air locked. check to see if one of the hoses leading into heater is hot. Other cause could be heater solenoid control valve faulty. Very unlikely that the heater matrix is blocked. Easiest way to bleed heater is to remove hose's when car is cold and GENTLY flush through with garden hose and push hoses back on when full of water, so you know you have a heater full of fluid. Hope this helps

Lock wont turn off . i hold the heated dry button for more than 3 seconds and it still wont turn off. tried resetting with breaker swicth No luck

I would be more likely to believe that it is the locking solenoid.
You say the light is faint, which leads me to believe that there is a high amperage draw from this locking mechanism.
Remember, the locking solenoid should definitely afftect door opening and closing.
First try removing the front panel and unscrewing the solenoid from the body. Let it dangle (unless you see a green ground wire) if it needs a ground, then please ground it. Now repeat your cycle/locking procedure and see if the solenoid moves and closes. If it simply hums and does nothing else then it should be replaced.

Dryer does not heat and continues to run/will not shut itself off

This is probably due to a faulty heating element, something the average do-it-yourselfer can replace. Disconnect the power supply, then refer to the owner's manual for procedures to remove the front panel from your specific model. If your dryer has a toe-kick plate in front, that's all that needs to be removed.

1)Locate the heating element heat shield, a box on the lower right side of the dryer.
2)Using a screwdriver, pull the two screws at the front of the heat shield. Remove the front of the heat shield or, if it is on a hinge, flip it down.
3)Remove the wire leads from the heating element terminals by pulling on the leads. To avoid damaging the wires, do not grab them when you pull off the leads.
4)Remove the holding screw on the side of the heat shield that connects to the heating element.
5)Remove the heating element by sliding it out of the heat-shield box. Install a new heating element and secure it to the heat shield with the holding screw on the side.
6)Reconnect the wire leads to the new heating element by pushing them onto the terminals. Place the heat shield front cover back into position and secure it with the mounting screws.
7)Replace the front panel or toe-kick plate and reconnect the power supply to the dryer.

Rear side windows

This may be just a case of inadvertently hitting the window lock out n th driver door window switch by mistake. Check that first. Here's some background on window operation

Principles of Operation
The driver power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the master window/door lock/unlock switch (and its integrated "auto down" module). Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay. The SEC/timer module will ground this relay when the ignition is in the ON position and will remain energized for approximately 15 minutes or until the driver or passenger door is opened.
The driver power window regulator motor is a reversible motor that is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The passenger power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the passenger power window switch and can also be controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch.
The passenger power window regulator motor is a reversible motor, which is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The power rear quarter glass is also directly controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch. The power rear quarter glass power latches also utilize reversible motors. The power rear quarter glass power latches are operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to open the window, and then reversing polarity on those same leads to close the window.

I have a Kenmore electric dryer model 110.63932101 with no heat. I'm a licensed electrician- I checked the limits and the thermister, all ok. I have aprroximately 65 volts between the 2 leads going to...

if you put the leads back, can you still measure a voltage between the heating terminal leads?

you could just be measuring a stray voltage...

if there is still 65 volts, the heat setting could have been low and it should be heating.

if you have a current meter, you can us it to measure the current being drawn by the heating element.

tnx 4 using fixya,

let me know what happen...
