SOURCE: I have a Sharp portable

Most of these devices have condensate pans that need to be emptied. these can and will shutoff the unit when they become full. i would start to look low in the front maybe behind a removable panel. good luck.

I have a sharp cv10mh portable ac..and lost the remote.is there any way of getting to mega cool /high speed without it?

Hi Raymond:
You may be stuck on that one. You will probably have to contact either a local dealer or the manufacturer to find that one out for sure. Not familiar with that exact model and they are all different but you should be able to locate a replacement remote.

if it is a gurgling sound then the unit may not be on a level surface. Shift the unit slightly or check if the wheels are level and put some padding under the offending wheel.
But if it is a crackling sound then most likely the compressor motor capacitor is leaking and needs replacement.

Looking for answers concerning my portable ac

Contact sharp for the replacement remote. As for the water the drain should discharge to a pan through a tube or a cap covers the drain hole. When it gets full it leaks out onto the floor. Also when it ices inside through prolonged use and can leak out through the edges to the bottom.

Hi I have a sharp portable AC unit model CVp 10lc works for 1hour

I have the same problem. I have only used my unit 3 times. It keeps "triping" and shuts off. Also, I smell a plastic burning smell and the plug gets very hot.

I have a Sharp portable a/c model CV-10MH. I drain it regularly and keep the filter screens clean. The other day it started throwing out warm air then just shut down. It does this often now. Any ideas?...

I love my Sharp CV-10MH Portable Air Conditioner but I'm afraid to use it. After a while it starts to make a noise I'd describe as a CLATTER or a RATTLE. Before I use it again I must know that this is not...

I had the same issue of filling up after a couple hours but mine started making some pretty loud noises as well just before shutting itself down and lighting all three lights. The top drain valve would no longer work and the only way I could drain it was through the bottom (gravity) drain valve. I took the unit apart and found that the simple water pump that is used for draining and the evaporating process had lost the thin filter screen on the bottom and the screen became lodged in the impeller of the pump preventing it from spinning. I removed the worn and broken plastic screen, carefully pushed the impeller back up on the shaft until it bottomed out, and cleaned all the built up sediment off the entire pump. After reassembling everything, the ac unit runs like new again and the noise is completely gone. Cost? $0
I imagine you can just order a new pump from sharp and save the time and effort of cleaning the pump.
Hope this helps!
