Hello,
What is good salt amount to you?
Did you go with the lbs of salt recommended in the manual?
That is just a starting point
you need to use a salt test kit that reads in #'s not color coded
get your salt to 3000ppm lower than 2800ppm will not produce enough sanitizer and over 3800ppm will give you bad taste, some cloudy, and even a possible high alarm
cloudy water is usually bad filtration
Intex pumps are to small for the pools they come with
Not enough horses
you need to turn your pool over at the bare minimum of 3-4 times in a day

Since I do not know what you are running I will use generic #'s
If you have a 5000 gl pool and a 2500 gl pump you should at least run your filter 6-8 hours remember this is minimum you will have to do the math for your pool

It is also important to blast out your cartridge once a day
It is best to have 2 one drying while the other one is working
A freshly cleaned filter does not filter as well as a dry one

Also you should be using 3 seperate chemicals which go buy gallons of water
a good stabilizer that you float in a nylon. This helps hold the chlorine content
What destroys chlorine? # of bathers, sun, heat, rain, sun tan oil and so on so it will be up to you to figure out what works for what you are exoeriencing
second is a liquid non foaming algaecide every 5-7 days
and lastly the paper filter cartridges are **** you should use a water clarifier that clumps the minute particles to form bigger ones that the filter can actually trap
just remeber salt systems don't keep your pool clearer it just makes it so that you do not have to pour liquid sanitizer in or float tablets
Clear water is from good pool maintainence and filter filter filter
I run mine 24/7
It only uses as much power as a 40 watt light bulb

In three days my electode is clogged up my salt build up.so I get a low salt alarm

ok, it is time to stop guessing on how much salt to add or take out.
You need to be as close to 3000ppm as you can
anything under 2700 and you will not generate enough chlorine. any thing above 3500 and you can go cloudy, have build up, or just plain taste terrible.

you need a test kit for salt that reads in #'s not color
the color salt kits have too much varience

If you are over, drain 20% of the pool and ad fresh water keep doing this till you get close to 3000ppm

If you are under then ad the amount of salt stated in the test directions.
Once at 3000 clean your cell again.
you should be good to go

Dont forget that once at 3000 you must keep an eye on the level because of rain and adding water for splash out

My pump keeps turning off before running the amount of time I set on the timer.

Your pump is either triggering an alarm that is shorting it out or it is overheating
My only solution at this point is to first comment on how you said you added more salt.
I am not sure how you figure your salt so if you do not do it this way I will just tell you what need done

You need a salt test kit that reads #'s not colors. The amount of salt that is in the manual is just that you must fine tune it yourself
get your water to 3000ppm as possible
under 2800ppm and you will not generate enough chlorine anything above 3500ppm can corode your plates even if they look clean you can also go cloudy not to mention taset bad

If this does not work for your pump then if I may suggest finding your receipt or a bank statement
for the pool/pump/generator, however you bought the system
as long as it is a day under 2 years you can call intex
they will e=mail you a form fax it back with the information they ask for and they will send a new one to your door in just a few days
They are really good about the warranty

KEEP GETTING A CODE 91 LOW SALT?

Hello,
As mentioned in many of my post's, you can not just go by the reccomended amount of salt in the owners manual.
You must get salt test strips that read in #'s not colors and get your salt as close to 3000ppm as possible lower than 2800 and you will not generate enough chlorine or trigger low salt alarms
any higher than 3500ppm and you could get cloudy, or trigger high salt alarm
the water will also taste too salty when adding salt dont forget to stir up the water and filter only for at least 12 hours before trying to generate salt

Longer if you ad a lot of salt like 75 lbs or so

Hello,
the amount of salt that they reccomend in the book is just a starting point
You need to get a salt test kit that reads in #'s not colors
Get your pool to as close to 3000ppm as possible
lower than 2800ppm and you will not produce enough chlorine
any higher than 3500ppm and you can trigger high salt alarm, have bad tasting water, or even get cloudy water
Like you have done, when adding salt , filter only for 6 hours or so to fully disolve

Intex salt water chlorinator I added a higher flow pump and chlorine levels seem low no matter how many hours I run the chlorinator

your pump has nothing to do with chlorine generation.
You need to get a salt test kit that reads in #'s not colors.
Now get your salt to 3000ppm or as close to it as you can.
The amount of salt reccomended in the manual is just a starting point
any lower than 2800 and you will not produce enough sanitizer and over 3600 and your pool can go cloudy, taste bad, and rust metal parts

Code 93 saltwater system

Hi, Code 93 is telling you that the system is done running, did you mean to say it said 92? That code would be for too much salt. If indeed it is a Code 92 you are getting, give Intex a call, or email. I have found their website to be very helpful, they have a F&Q's area. Good luck!
