SOURCE: FREZZER IS COLD FRIDGE IS NOT

OK, Sounds like we have a problem with the defrost. Need to unplug and lets remove the rear panel and examine the defrost heater, It has a glass tub around it so it will be easy to see if its burned out. WR51X10101 Defrost Heater if you need to change the defrost heater it would be a good idea to replace the defrost thermostat also. Part number WR50X10054 Defrost thermostat. Let me know if I can be of more help. And please rate my solution, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: I have a ge profile fridge model # PDS22SHRBRSS needing help

Yes, you have to cut the wiring as the instructions stated. Not all the models have to have wiring cut, so read carefully to see if yours is one that needs to have the wiring cut. If it is not, then you have another problem, and you will have to let us know what the origional problem was before you replaced the board. If your model requires cutting, you may have damaged the main board by not doing this. Unplug the refer and follow the instructions carefully and test to see if it works. Good luck, Appliance Specialists.

SOURCE: I have a GE fridge, it is a GSH25JSRFSS model,

Sometimes you can call GE and get help but most times not if the year warranty has expired. I personally have never found any problems other than the board itself just having a bad relay or a circuit blown off the back. Thunderstorms are hard on them too. Below is a link for the model unit you asked about.

check the freezer evaporator thermistor on the top left corner clipped to the evaporator,if its not 16k ohm when at 32 degrees in a glass of ice water after 4 minutes it will defrost too many times and cause this issue, you need to unplug the J1 connector on the mother board in the rear behind the cover and check terminals 4 & 5 un the plug, not on the board though

First this refrigerator has very low consumer rating. They are plagued with problems with very poor company backing. But without be able to diagnosis the problem in person I would say it's the mother board. And you may find that GE has a new updated board for your appliance. I would go to Amazon.com and search for your motherboard for your refrigerator and read the reviews. Some people leave some great idea. Plus it you bought this refrigerator brand new you can fight with GE to send you a new board.

Ge Refrigerator stopped working

Deet, Unplug the refrigerator and the 3 pins on the compressor. Remember where the three compressor wires  go when you put them back on. Test all three pins 2 at a time with an ohm meter. You should get readings all the way around. Then test 1 pin at a time touching the other probe to the copper on the outside the compressor. Tell me what you come up with, Thanks, JT
