If the model you listed this question under is correct, the motor is located under the wash tub behind the drain pump. The bottom of the drive motor is about 2 to 3 inches above the floor. If you wish to access the motor to inspect it, you will need to remove the exterior washer cabinet. The following link explains how to access the motor and remove/replace (if necessary):

For your convenience, I've included the following illustrated parts listing of the washer you have this question listed under:

The drive motor is listed under the "Brake, Clutch, Gearcase, Motor and Pump" section.

If you have any questions, or need additional assistance, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

On top load, direct drive machines, the motor is about three inches above the floor.

In order to get a better view, see the following for how to release the console and remove the cabinet on these machines

Water is leaking at the diverter motor and spilling onto the floor.

Oh, that's a bad sign. You might be able to fix the problem by replacing the diverter motor (and putting some silicon grease or silicon seal) on the mating surfaces. In more extreme cases, where the leaking water has damaged other parts, it may be necessary to replace the whole pump/sump/motor assembly, and maybe the wiring harness if the water has damaged or corroded the connectors.

I have a 1992 Honda Accord and whenever it rains, water leak through the speaker on the passenger side door and make a big puddle on the floor. Also the water leaks into a hole in the floor by the ECU

Not comming from the speaker! Make sure that the rubber door trim aound the door is intact and not damaged. Additionally, check the rubber seal on the outside of the window where it retracts into the door. These are the only 2 ways that water can enter through the passenger door.

Model SR-L39. "no frost" dec

The defrosted water that drains to the drain tank has leaked when the fridge is defrosting,it can be due to some puncture in the drain hose from the freezer ,specially when the temperature is high this can be more . You can set the thermostat a little lower to reduce the frosting , also keep a flat tray under the drain tank so that the excess water can be collected and disposed.
If you can check and see if the drain pipe is damaged.

I noticed when it rains passenger side floor gets wet check for leaks from windshield no leaks. then i noticed a strange sound when i turn the heat on. now heat doesn't work at all

I have seen some problems with water coming in through the cabin air filter. (Also known as passenger compartment air filter - see picture) Sometimes this is caused by a buildup of leaves and debris in the cowl area that causes water to overflow into the filter area. Sometimes this is caused by the filter not being installed correctly. I have even seen the water diverter that goes over the top of the filter get discarded by quick-lube "specialists". Anyway, these conditions will allow water to enter into the vehicle through the heater system. Many times I have seen the filter so badly damaged by water and debris that it ends up in the blower motor and stops it from running. This is where I would look for the problem first.

The blower motor on my 1997 tahoe is frozen drips of water frozen on bottom of motor and a few drips frozen to floor mat motor started smoking when turned on

check if the a/c drain is clogged. but the motor may be bad now also. be sure the harness to the motor doesn't show sings of overheating, as high amperage can damage the harness where it connects to the resistor/motor.

Dishwasher is leaking in front onto floor. Water level during washing seems too high. Float is not obstructed by any object. What can I do next?

if it seems to be coming from the front it may be the rubber door seal they are not to expensive and not very hard to change if it is leaking under machine it may be the seal that sits on top of motor if water is leaking around motor the seal in the bottom of the washer is damaged

Your fan speed control module is probably shorted and is damaged. Have it repaired by an electrician.
