What exactly you mean by lock. If you want to know if the ui of the router is password protected or not then you connect the router with the computer using a lan cable. go to dos prompt and do a ipconfig
then note the default gateway and then open internet explorer or firefox and write \\ followed by the gateway ip. usually the gateway is so you write \\ if the now you are prompt for a username and password and you not able to enter with the username and password that means that your router ui is password protected. by default the username is admin and the password is admin or password or leave it blank.

Don't know how to lock my linksys router

To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down and put it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.
To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

My router is security locked. I didnt set it. and I cant connect wiressley to my router. how do i reset this?

Reset the router to factory configuration by using a paper clip or similar item to (while the router is on) depress the "Reset" switch on the back of the router. Hold it for about ten seconds, then release. This should put your router back to factory specs. You'll then have to log back in to the router using the web interface and re-enter your wireless settings.

It also sounds like someone perhaps hacked your router. When you re-enter your settings, I suggest you change the user name to something only you know, and also the router access password (not the wireless key) to a strong password that, again, only you know. This should keep anyone from locking you out of your own router.

Hope that's helpful.

Internet is locked on loptop

hard reset your router. everything goes back to factory settings. no passwork for network required, you may need to set it up again. On this model router, i think you press the and hold the button on the side while pressing the reset button in the back.

How do i put a lock on my router so only i have it

Normally, routers come with a software wizard that will help you set up your wireless and security settings. If this is not the case, you will need to do it manually.
First, you will need the IP of the router. Sometimes it's listed on the bottom of the device, sometimes it's in the manual, sometimes both. If you still cannot find it, try searching for 'defaul ip for XXXXXXX' where x is your router's modle number.
Then, go into IE (or Firefox, Chrome, Safari etc.) and type the IP into the address bar.
It may ask you for a user name and password. Most times the user name is admin and the password is either admin or there is no password.
Since I don't know your exact modle, you will need to do some searching through the web portal (created by your router that you connected to with the IP) for wireless security settings.
Use something like WPA for your encryption method, or WEP if you don't have WPA. Then just give the router a pass key that you will remember.
Save the changes, and you're done.

My router is locked

Go to the computer that the router is connected to and access the settings. ( Go to a link where you can restoer the factory settings. Do it and shut down everything. Power everything on in this order. (Wait 1 minute between them)
1. modem
2. router
4. other network devices

Then try to connect all of the devices to the network. Then set the router to your personal settings.
