We have a red screen on the printer display with a rectangle full of diagonal lines and below that it says "83C00020." We've tried to power it off, but it won't shut down. We've tried to unplug it, and it immediately turns back on with this screen showing. Any help?

I have an error 83C00020 on my HP 3210 Photosmart All-in-one Printer. It has a clock in the upper part of the screen. The little camera icon is also flashing. I cannot turn my printer off. If I disconnect the power and plug back in, it shows the same error.

Anybody have an idea what I can do?

Blue Screen Error Message 83C00020

Try this it worked for me! Unplug usb ,phone cord then power cord for a few seconds. While holding down the (OK) and (ON) buttons plug power cord back in. It should get you out of the error code screen. Then you should be able to do the number (6) and (#) button reset as found on HP site! I hope this works for you as well.

HP Photosmart 6180: error code:83C00020?

I cannot get the unit to work at all, it will not turn on or off. On the display screen I get the error message 83C00020 and the memory card light continues to blink on and off. I will not print, scan, fax or copy. I cannot override, I have tried the # and 6 reset but to no avail. I have called tech support and they said it was a 'hardware' problem that could not be fixed at home. Of course, they wanted to sell me a new printer!?! Any suggestions? I am stumped and frustrated.
