I have a canon IP 4200 printer. The ink cartridge light on the Magenta ink cartridge doesn't work so it won't accept/recognize that a new ink cartridge has been installed. Is this something that...

It sounds as though you have a break in the carriage ribbon cable. A new carriage would hopefully cure it but its just possible the logic board has failed and is not sending any signal to the magenta ink tank. Its certainly repairable but you would need to know the costs and the labour charge to see if its worthwhile.

Printer working but nothing printed

Hi,

How do you know its working? Did you check your ink levels? Try checking it, your ink may have finished. Also try printing a test page. If it still doesn't work, try reinstalling your print cartridges.

E13 flashing up even though i have replaced ink cartridges

If you want to continue printing in this condition, press and hold the button on the printer for at least five seconds, and then release it.

Replace the ink cartridge and close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover).
If printing is in progress and you want to continue printing, press the Stop/Reset button for at least 5 seconds with the ink cartridge installed. Then printing can continue under the ink out condition.

The function for detecting the remaining ink level will be disabled.

Replace the empty ink cartridge immediately after the printing. The resulting print quality is not satisfactory, if printing is continued under the ink out condition.

My printer doesn't print anything..I put a new ink cartridge. I have a canon i320.

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink or toner cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridges that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks or toner causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead or photo conductors.
If you are using factory new ink or toner cartridges, then please call the manufacturer’s Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

Canon i320 amber light flashing will not print

I believe that 7 amber flashes refer to a cartridge error. Check that the cartridge is seated correctly.

ERROR U130

The remaining ink level cannot be correctly detected. Replace the ink tank and close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover). Printing with an ink tank that was once empty may damage the machine. If you want to continue printing in this condition, you need to release the function for detecting the remaining ink level. Press and hold the Stop/Reset button for at least 5 seconds, and then release it. * With this operation, releasing the function for detecting the remaining ink level is memorized. Please be advised that Canon shall not be liable for any machine malfunction or damage caused by refilled ink tanks. See “Replacing an Ink Tank” on page 46.

I320 canon printer

Hi, the problem is the print head, it is dirty. Usually this happens when you use "compatible" ink and it cloggs the head. Othertimes can be from dust getting into the printer on dirty paper. You can buy Cleaning Ink cartiridges online which can help remove the dirt. If you google search for: "i320 cleaning " you will see these for sale. You can also trty cleaning the Heads yourself with warm water and a lint free cloth but this can be fiddly and messy.
