Question about Biostar : K8VGA-M Athlon64/DDR400/A&V&L/MATX Motherboard (MOTBI07)
If you cannot adjust the volume, your sound driver is not installed. Download the driver from this site. or here http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdownloads.asp?model=K8VGA-M
Browse to the "audio" section and download the driver. Afterwards, just execute and install the driver.
