Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a 9 year old Mitsubishi 60" big screen. It turns itself off. I have to wait 10 minutes and then turn it back on. When it turns off I push the menu and input bottons and the green light flashes twice then pauses and flashes 4 times. Can you tell me what is wrong? Diane

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error 2-4 means vertical protect which occurs due to loss of vertical from the source. The vertical IC should also be checked, also check IC C411 and C412. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

you can do a self-diagnosis test by pressing the menu and input/device button on set for 5 sec and see what error code it gives you. Count the blinks followed by a short pause then more blinks. This is the error code.
