I have a Samsung LCD TV LE27S7, 3 years old have lost picture today but still have perfect sound. Have checked leads and tried playing DVD but still no picture

Well it very well could be the three color tubes, or power board the problem. BUT before you try that check your HDMI cable. HDMI cables have to be 100% in to fully work sometimes if out just a bit they will produce this issue where you have no picture but sound.
Or try a new HDMI cable, if you don't have HDMI and it's doing it on multiple ports including RCA, RF, HD Component then it's a problem with the tv itself and you'll need to call a repairman.

yes you need to connect audio out from the tv to audio in on the dvd surround. you need the red/white phono to phono leads, simply connect together and select audio (av,au) on the input selection.

Check that the scart lead is fully in on the dvd and tv,if ok then try another lead

Have you try to play with a DVD or other source beside cable? Did you check the TV speaker is on or in mute mode? Try to get TV back to factory reset.
If does not help, check the TV speakers by plug in an AV source.
Lastly, replace the main board.

Use the menu button in the front screen of your tv.Maybe your remote control need a battery.

Hello, I have a question which video inputs are you using for your DVD and Wii connections? The reason I ask is because this sounds like video distortion cuased by noise. If possible can you send a picture of the screen when it has this problem and send which video ports are being used? If it is noise in the video you may have a saw filter problem, or a decoupling issue. In any event I'll know more once you send those pictures and which inputs you are using for your DVD and Wii. Sounds like the scart lead is not in straight. Scart connectors have the audio pins at one end, and the video pins at the other. If the lead isn't in straight then you often get sound and no picture and vice versa.

Check the connection by pushing the scart lead in securely. (Both DVD and TV end of the lead)

Failing that could be a dodgy lead.

I have a sansui 19" LCD TV+DVD
I had to attempt multiple times turning the TV on to get a picture. The sound was fine. This kept happening when I would go to turn on the set the TV kept playing fine with picture & sound but after the 2nd attemts I turned it off & then tried to turn it back on which took multiple attempts, it kept playing for a few minutes then the picture went out but the sound was still there.
The set is not yet 2 years old.

Sounds like a poor connection with a scart lead
