Three things to look at. . .
1) CPU Heat Sink is full of 'House hold Dust - Clean it off !
2) If youre one to leave ur PC running 24/7 - 365 days a year -
The slightest bang, drop, jolt (See in you Theasaurus Bud) will shear the contact between the Proccessoe surface and the Heat Sink - Giving you zero Heat transfer - New Heat sink Grease !
3) Bung your Ram Module into the trash or the nieghbours roof, replace it ( it's the cost of a tube of toothpaste nowdays ) and if it still does work after allll that - Get your .357 Mag. out - Great target - seriously !!

Its most likely a problem with the RAM. You may need to replace the modules..

Hello, depends on which make of bios you have. If you're lucky it's a keyboard error, but take a look at this page of bios beep codes.http://www.5starsupport.com/info/beep_codes.htm

My daughters Dell is only 4 weeks old, you push the power button and the light on the button illuminates for about 10 seconds, nothing appears on the screen and then it shuts off. Have true about 15 times...

Hello sean_gillett,
Remove power completely from the device. If it is a laptop, remove the battery. Wait about 30 seconds for the power to drain, then reapply the power source.
If it's a laptop, you may need to let it charge 15 or 20 minutes. A desktop should power up just fine. If it does not, contact Dell immediately for warranty repair!
If this helped you, please give me 4 thumbs up!!

This issue might happen due to RAM.

To resolve this issue:
Turn of the power supply for your desktop.
Please remove the side case on your tower(CPU).
find the RAM slot and remove the RAM from the Slot.
Clean the RAM terminals with the help of cloth or Eraser.
After cleaning place the RAM on RAM slot.
Now try to turn ON the PC desktop. If it is working thats fine or else you need to replace another RAM to check.

Please refer the below figure to find the RAM Slot and the lock to remove the RAM.

One of the most common failures is Power Supply. Try first, unplugging and leaving off for a few minutes before trying to start it again. Sometimes this helps, but I expect you will need to dig deeper.

Hello,
The CMOS battery supplies energy to the Real Time Clock when the computer is not connected to the electrical socket, and does not have the battery inserted. It should not prevent the computer from starting up. You will however be asked to reset the time and date of the computer.
Hope it helps.

Hp xw6200, 6 beeps, and red power button...failed start up.

6 long beeps indicates that there is a problem with the memory, take them out, clean the contacts and the DIMM slots and reseat them.
Hopefully this will resolve the problem, if not new memory may be required
kind regards
