Service Fuser Error appears on your Lexmark printer when the fuser does not warm to the required temperature. For this error on this Lexmark model, the manual states you should power off the printer and power it back on, and if it is not plugged into a wall power point, change it to a power point mounted directly on the wall. Personally, I never got a Lexmark printer to work doing this, but this is in the manual. If this won't help, and the printer is under warranty, you should log it in with the servicing company.

If the printer is out of warranty, your next option is to change the fuser which costs around $350, so I think you would be better off getting a new printer unless you find a second hand one on Ebay.

    SOURCE: 920.06 SERVICE FUSER ERROR

A 920 fuser error indicates that the fuser unit in the printer is below the proper temperature for printing. Turn off the printer for 30 seconds. Bypass any surge device or power strips, plug the printer straight to the power outlet in the wall. Make sure the printer is an operating environment where the temperature is above 16°C (60°F). If none of the steps above correct the issue, the fuser unit or possibly the power supply unit on the printer will need to be replaced. This will require a service action on the printer. I hope I can assist you more on this.

      SOURCE: error message. 924.01 service

The 924.01 service fuser error indicates either the fuser unit is not able to reach/maintain the correct temperature or the fuser unit is not working. What you can do:

      • Turn off printer. Turn on after 30 seconds.
      • Plug printer straight to power outlet in the wall. Bypass any surge devices or power strips, they draw away power from the printer.

If problem continues, contact Lexmark technical support(under warranty) or your local authorized service provider for professional repair.

you can reseat the fuser, and see if the message goes away. Or you will need to replace the actual fuser assembly. unfortunately you can't just remove/clear the error. see picture attached as this is what the fuser looks like
      ec9743a.jpg
after you replace it let me know if you still receive the error.

      Error 58.04

This is from the service manual and should help you determine if you need to call in for service. If is in warranty I would anyways since the fuser would be covered if at fault.

58.04 ERROR To continue turn off then on. The low-voltage power supply has experienced an error.
      1. Reinstall the fuser. Check the connector
(J1901) between the fuser and product.
Replace the cable or fixing unit if the
      connector is damaged.
      2. Reconnect the connectors of the fuser
control PCA (J303, J305) and the DC
      controller PCA (J107).
      3. Replace the fuser. See Fuser
      on page 191.

      From the Service Manual:
      *Service call
      980:Error

      *Error by media
      clinging to the fuser

*Media has clung to the fuser.

      *Power OFF
      Replace the fuser unit.

      Suggestion -
Before you replace the fuser, take it out and check for a piece of stuck label, paper, etc. You can spin the fuser roller by turning the gear on the side.
