You can download any/all the Windows 2K or XP or Vista device drivers for your model laptop from the Toshiba WEB site from their download page. Make sure you enter the model of your laptop so you can get the correct drivers. Use this link :-. http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp#
Please make sure that the physical volume control is not mute. Also, please press on Fn+Esc to check if it is not muted. If these did not work, please go to the device manager. If you are using Vista, please click on Start-Control Panel-Classic View-Device Manager. Then select the Sound, Game and Video Controllers. Select the one for the Audio by clicking on it then select properties. Then go to the drivers tab then select uninstall. Then please restart your laptop. Please check if it works this time. If you are using Xp, that shoud be Control Panel-System-Hardware-Device Manager If it does not, please go back to the same driver tab then select update driver. You need to have an internet connection for this one. If this does not work either, please go to the manufacturer's SUPPORT WEBSITE pcsupport.toshiba.com so that you can download the latest sound driver for your model. Hope this helps. Thank you.
If you have windows XP check : control panel / Sound speech and audio devices / Sound and audio devices. Then check that the volume cursor can be moved and that the device is not muted. If this doesnt work remove the sound card from device manager, and install it back using drivers from your recovery disk or download them from Toshiba website.
Hi, You need a windows XP sound driver for your sound card. If you know your sound card's name go to
www.toshiba.com and look for your country support then Service and Support choose the laptop you have and download the driver for your sound card or if you couldn't find it email the and get the drivers from them.
or go to:
www.google.com and search for "download driver your sound card's name"
and install it.
Or if you don't know the name of your sound card follow the steps below:
Control Panel >> System >> Hardware >> Device Manager
Look for yellow signed "Other Device" >> see if mentions your sound card's name.
if not then you need to see your laptop's manual.
Please come back and leave a good feedback for me to keep me on this site.
This is a link to the download site for Toshiba drivers. Select the model of your laptop and click Go to retrieve a list of available drivers.
Before doing this, however, you need to be certain of the model number of your laptop. Equium is the make of toshiba desktop computers and A60 is the model number for a Toshiba Satellite laptop. Look on the bottom of your laptop for a label that will have the exact model number you need then select that on the website.
