Question about Briel ED271AP 10-Cup Multi-Pro Espresso / Coffee

1 Answer

Coffee side died in my Briel ED271APG

The light comes on but does not heat the water. Put a multi-meter on it and have continuity thru the heater coil and the thermostat. Could it be the switch ??

No hot water can't even take a shower

If there is only cold water coming out from the water heater, there is no doubt that your RTO water heater
is defective.
1. Shut the power supply going to your heater off.
2. You can check on it, by opening it up.
3. Trace the wires coming from the power supply.
Using a multitester, check the continuity of each
line. Set the tester to Ohms 1 x 10. Put the multi
tester probe to each end of the electrical line, one
line at a time. The pointer must point to zero.
Otherwise, it must be replaced.
4. Test the heater coil for continuity. One of the multi
tester probe must be placed at the common termi-
nal. Put the other probe to the other terminals. The
pointer must be at zero, otherwise, you can
replace the heater unit, since this is already

Coffee will not brew, heating element does not seem to work

You either have a bad thermostat, heating element, cord, or limit. If it was me I would check each component with a meter for continuity. Get a cheap meter that beeps when you touch the 2 leads together. This is continuity or a continuous circuit. One of them things I mentioned is kaput. This is not rocket science. Limits can be bought cheap. Let me know what you find out.

Try opening the frothing valve by turning the dial and force water through it instead of steam by pressing the middle, coffee button. You may be experiencing vapor lock. Once the water comes through the steamer valve, turn the steamer knob off and release the coffee button. Then try the steamer button with the steamer dial open. This may do the trick.

You have a leak in a connection or maybe the boiler. There is nothing you can do but find a repair shop to fix or replace the bad part.
