Non-working printer; no paper pickup

Samsung CLX-2160. Stops, shows red light. Sometimes works again if switched off then on. Screen shows "Deve home sensor error"

The solution shown for the Samsung CLX-3160FN All-In-One works also for the Samsung CLX-2160N.
The associated picture and methodology of "pre-stretching" the solenoid spring is virtually identical for both printers.
Worked for me on the CLX-2160N

The problem is that one magnetic clutch has a tiny spring which is not strong enough. You have to remove left printer left cover and find this clutch (solenoid). Remove the spring and cut a little lenght, just to make it stronger and thats all.

check that the scanner lamp is coming back to it's home position. you may have to clean the rails that the scanning lamp rides on

Get the error message at a samsung 2160 printer: error deve home-sensor. What can i do..........


Dear
Deve Home Sensor Error indicates a problem in the fusser unit.
Unplug the power cord ,check the fusser unit and plug it back in.
If the problem persists, Replace to the
Main board.

The 2160 is working. I just letf it become cooler. 2 hours stop and than everything is ok

enter tech mode by pressing menu>idcopy>left>right>menu>back>menu ,then in data setup clear all memory and clear count

CLX 2160 - paperjam


There is probably a jam in the paper feed area. Pull the paper tray out and stick your hand in to find and remove any paper stuck there. Then reinstall the paper tray and open and close the front door of the printer. The jam should be cleared.

If it is still showing paper jam, pull the tray out again and look to make sure you didn't miss any paper, then check the other areas of the printer (starting with the exit area) for paper.

my printer Samsung CLX-2160 give me the message "paper jam", but I checked a lot of times inside and there is no paper. What's the real problem? How can I solve?
