Replacing my left rear wheel seal on my Cub Cadet Sc2400. How do I get the shaft out properly so I can replace the seal

the seal cost about $4.00 take the wheel off and don't lose the wheel key slide off the washer take a screwdriver and pry the old one out and replace with the new one. check your fluid level. if your doing one you might as well do both.

Left rear tire has rust color leak


Sounds like a seal has went bad allowing water to enter trans case. I would suggest taking to a cub cadet shop and letting them check it out.

They said 7/16-20nf x 1" auto studs are easier. Auto parts stores has

My son was mowing, with our cub cadet 2166, and ran the left front tire into a fence and now the steering wheel wont work. You can turn it and it feels really loose but it isn't connecting to the


Check the two main gears. One at the end of the steering shaft and the other that it contacts. Some brands are adjustable where the large gear is held on by a bolt and an excentric which allows you to move the large gear closer to the smaller gear. This may have been knocked out of place or the gear(s) stripped. Here is a basic diagram of the parts.

My Cub Cadet riding mower won't turn. It just makes a clicking sound as you turn the wheel??


sounds like teeth on fan gear are worn or steering shaft and gear came away from fan gear. if fan gear worn replace if ok loosen lower steering shaft mount push tward fan gear and tighten, grease front steering spindles. or may need to replace spindle bushings.spindles too tight causing fan gear priblem
