Question about TruTech PLV16320 Television

1 Answer

I believe this is my model television, however, I am at work and unable to verify that! By the look of it, it looks just like the one that I have. This is the problem. I unplugged the TV to plug in a lamp, etc......and when I plugged it back in, it has had the following problem: The screen shows the picture, but with no sound, then suddenly, the screen is completely black and there is sound. However, I can't get both to work at the same time? I have tried EVERYTHING and it just keeps doing the exact same thing! Please let me know if there is anything that you could do to help me! Thank you! Jane

Hello,

IF the backlights are on but you just get dim glowing on the screen when look at the screen in darkened room then the T-CON board is bad or it is not getting the 12vdc from the main logic board. Need to use logical troubleshooting before buying the wrong parts.

ALSO NOTE THAT
The power supply has Standby 5vdc (5VSB, this is a MUST have before anything else will work, when this voltage is not present, there will be no any indicator light on the front panel) which is always on the minute the TV is plugged into the AC outlet, so it is on 24/7 and that is why the power supply will fail even though you may use the a TV not very often. It will see all the voltage spikes and surges 24/7.
This 5vdc is used to power the Processor and the Infrared remote receiver module which will be waiting for the command from the remote control or from the power switch, when the Power on command is received, the Processor will send the turn on signal (3.3~5vdc) to the power supply module (PSON pin) to the switch on the main 5vdc for the rest of the logic and Tuner circuits, 12~16vdc for the sound amplifiers (mostly Class D amplifier for efficiency and small size) and for the T-CON board (interface board between the LCD panel and the Logic board), and 24vdc for the Back lights inverter board (if there is no 24vdc then no back light).
Common failures:
Blown main AC fuse due to shorted out Diodes, transistors.
Bad capacitors leaking or bulging tops:
Shorted Diodes, transistors in the DC output side.

Hope this helpout

I have a nokia e71x and the phone is locked and i dont know the code is there a master code to unlock it? The imei is 356875021463315

We can no longer provide Security Unlock codes on FixYa as we are unable to verify the ownership of cell phones.

However, you can get a Security Override code from your service provider's Tech Support Department once they are able to verify ownership of the phone.

If this won't work for you, if you Google: "Secret Codes for the [insert your phone and model number]" you may find what you're looking for. Good luck.

Nec plasma problem same as yours

Hi Berni, sorry don't have any good news. the nec guys took the plasma away and it turns out that we needed a new mother board. can u believe it, the plasma was not even a year old yet...Not Happy Jan indeed...
We're still having different problems. there's speckles on the left side of the screen no matter which imput we use. They thought changing the board would fix it but it hasn't. We have extended warranty and will have it looked at soon. Hope you get your working. cookie

The screen has a green mark in the middle and is spreading

As long as the center speaker has been removed, the degaussing circuits should have recovered normal operation of the set. Also, I find it hard to believe that a center speaker would harm a projection set given the location of the CRTs. Can you please verify the model number of the set as well as provide more details about what you mean by "wrecked"?
Thanks,
Dan
