Hi there,

Well first of all you can try to reset your GPS, first of all you can try soft reset as follows -

1. Turn unit OFF
2. Press and hold the PAGES key
3. Press and hold the PWR key
4. Release both buttons when the USA map appears

If further you have the same problem then you can try a hard reset as follows -

1. Turn unit OFF
2. Press and hold the ZIN&ZOUT Keys at the same time
3. Press and hold the PWR key
4. A tone will sound
5. When tone is sounding, release buttons and immediately press and hold the FIND key.
6. While pressing FIND, a higher tone will sound
7. The unit will reset. Turn unit OFF and back ON.

(Note: you lost the previous settings and data after formating the GPS)
Please post comments if further you have the same problem.

Good Luck!!

After reformatting I attempted to find the satellites either in simple or advanced.
    It failed in both modes.
With the receiver pointing north it only showed 3 satellites overhead (no over-head obstacles). The bar graph shows 11 with only 3 working and the first graph showed nothing on the bottom.

Ok, then further you can try to upgrade the firmware of your GPS. there is no firmware available on the Internet, you need to take it to repair center to update the firmware.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

If location of the server does not matters and does not effect the downloading time then why it is recommended to download files from the nearest server?

In most cases, the location of the server (on your continent, or on a foreign continent) DOES matter. For example, if you are in New Zealand, and one of the download servers is in Sweden, your Internet traffic will need to cross two oceans, and that will INCREASE the download-time.
If you can find a server in Australia, then your Internet traffic will be "local", probably an underwater cable, rather than NZ-earth-to-satellite-to-USA-earth-to-satellite-to-European-earth, and will be faster.

You probably need to install the audio driver again.
If you don't have it, try using a driver finder program to locate it. Once installed, your audio device should be back.

I can not get a GPS fix from any satellites on my Lowrance H20C GPS. Is there a trick to doing a hard reset or something to fix this? I am running software version 1.1.0 - Build LL2358E / JR1754C if that...

Hello thekernel,

In order for the GPS to get a fix it needs to receive telemetry information from three or GPS satellites. To do that it needs a clear view of the sky. Local geography such as mountains, hills, tall buildings and heavy forest can block the GPS's ability to receive satellite telemetry. The same thing can happen if you are trying to operate the unit indoors or inside of a vehicle without an external antenna. That's why most GPS receivers are installed at the lowest point in the car that has a clear view of the windshield and side windows - such a location provides the best view of the sky.

To test it your GPS, try using the device outside in a relatively open area with a clear view of the sky in all directions. It should acquire a satellite fix in about five minutes or less. If not, then the unit may have an a hardware or antenna failure that would require service.

Best Regards,

New Garmin 330 stuck on kansas

Take the unit outside and turn it on. Then select View Maps, at the top of the screen it will say either "Locating satellites" or "Acquiring Satellites". Once the garmin has locked onto the overhead satellites, then it will say "Ready to Navigate".

Locating Satellites take longer than Acquiring Satellites.

Just bought H20c. How do I set locations, like where I want to hunt when they are not near any waypoints? Also, I have to do this from a plane. Sorry if this is elementary, I am incredibly...

you have to initiate a simulation where you must first have to set the waypoints and should make a mark on the specific locations. once your your locations was in there it will give you a beeping sound that you was on the exact point or the mark you have configure in your simulation.

Aquiring satellites

Are you outside with a clear view of the sky? It should find satellites once the unit is turned on. Does it say "Looking for satellites" or "Acquiring satellites"?

If it is "looking for satellites" then it means that the unit have lost all data (time, date, location). If it is "acquiring satellites" then it have date and time, but not location.

Looking for satellites require a longer setup time (could be as much as 15 minutes). Acquiring satellites is much faster (not more than 2 minutes).

Date and time is updated from satellites once the unit gets a satellite lock.
