Possible that your thermostat is defective and not cutting off the fridge. Please put off the set for about 8 hours and reconnect. check if the fridge cuts off in about 2-3 hours in the normal setting. If the cooling on the freezer is fine and good, then there is a possiblity of the 8 hour auto timer being defective. you will need to check out these sections barring the compressor if the cooling is good. I hope this helps you ? Good day

The freezer door was left open .. Compressor will not turn off even though freezer temperature now -21.

Try adjusting the temprature control knob. Make a mental note of what it's set at before changing. If compressor doesn't stop at warmest setting the sensor may be bad.

What is your model number? With the model number I can look up the components that may be causing this problem. Example would be a defective thermister or thermostat control. Thanks Sea Breeze

My refrigerator is too cold. It is on the warmest setting on both the freezer and refrig yet the lower draws freeze. Got any ideas? And yes the compressor is not running all of the time.

by setting the freezer control to the warmest setting you allow the maximun amount of air into the refrigerator. set the freezer control to the center location.

My refrigerator keeps freezing on the refrigerator side

your damper door is frozen fully open between the refrigerator and freezer compartments and letting in too much cold air even though the temp setting is set on warmest setting, defrost it and then adjust the cold control and see if it moves again,if it freezes often the door seals may be letting in warm air from outside, condensing and freezing things up
