Re: how to set up security to the router DI 524,
To open the gui of the router open internet explorer and in the addres bar type 192.168.0.1 and hit enter. You would be prompted for a username and password. The default username as admin and password as <blank> for the unit.
Try this, in case you are not able to access the UI of the unit with the username and password try pressing the reset button on the unit for 20 seconds. This would restore factory defaults on the device, once done try to access the ui of the device as explained above

log onto the router... put in address bar in Internet explorer 192.168.1.1 and put admin as the user and password or admin as the password. you should be able to see the passphrase and network keys under the wireless section.
If it will not accept it
>Make sure your computer is wired or connected to your DI-524
>Try going start>run > type in CMD
>on the black screen type in ipconfig and hit enter.
>Look for the Default Gateway that would be the IP address that your DI-524 is using.
>Click Start>All Programs > Accessories > click on command prompt
>type in ipconfig
>Look for IPV4 for the Default Gateway and that would be the IP address of your router.
If not allowing to access the login page, try pressing the reset button for 15 seconds at the back of your DI-524 but pressing the reset button will reset the setting of your wireles setting. Once your press the reset button type in 192.168.0.1 on the address bar and you should be having the login page. use Admin/admin for the username and leave the password blank and click ok...
One of your neighbors may have changed it for you, but you have the hardware, just reset it, and get a LONG cable to it, as you only get problems trying to set the Router with the wireless connection.
After resetting to factory default,
Change admin password
Set wireless security:
Wikreless/Wireless MAC filter.
- here you allow witch MAC address is allowed to access your network.
you find your own MAC address by typing ipconfig /all in a cmd.
