As per the manual of Micromax Q3 phone it supports .AVI files. in my suggestion you need to check your video file settings before you load them in your handset.
Following is the ideal setting for your phone video:
Resolution: 320 x 240
Frame Per Second: 25
Video Codec: .AVI and MP4 (DivX)
You can use a free software like Format Factory to convert videos with this settings on your phone.
