Hi,

This error usually comes due to faulty sliding mechanism.Put a bit of force on the focusing lens to push it back into camera casing. That's the reason the sliding mechanism won't work. The lens is stuck and if you force it back in, the sliding mechanism will work again. Not responsible if your camera screws up, so try at your own risk.

Or else try out this method.Pull the lens fully out and then it will work.It will be bit tricky to get the lens out. Use your nail to "grab" between the outer glass and the little plastic cover.
Thank you !!

I have the Sanyo x1250 and it dropped with the len extended. When I turn it on, the lens goes partcially in and out while making a clicking noise, and after a few seconds of this, it says system error on...

Lens errors (system errors on Sanyo's) are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

I Dropped my Camera and Now the Lenses are Not working Properly and it keeps saying "System Error"

Lens Errors (a.k.a. "Zoom" and "System" errors) are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to lens error problems can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some last resort things that you can do that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth a try.

Lens Error on sanyo VPC S1070. I've fixed it before through the sanyo customer service and now ive lost the receipt and they wont tell me.

Usually a lens error refers to the lens not being able to focus in and out due to grit or sand in the gears of the camera. Was this what they repaired before?

Without a receipt, I would think that they would be able to look it up. But, if they don't have that capability or policy, you may have to pay for the repair again, or just get another camera to replace if it's too much economically.

Lens Error 1114 the lens won't go back in and it turns off

This is probably THE single most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
